It just started nuking here in Carson. Luckily we did our little ski while it was only crazy windy. It was a rare hardshell day for me.Name: 16404759748090.jpeg

with all the work they're gonna have to do I wouldn't be surprised if wednesday is THE day. It'll still be good anyway I doubt Kirkwood will see 25 degrees before Friday

Sorry to hear about the road closures, but with cold smoke piling up and no electrical outage (at my location at least), maybe Santa is real after all. Merry Christmas everyone!

Nice to see they care about customer safety. They are lying cunts that will not open today.

They might get something open. Gunbarrel is currently spinning anyway and if they have power at Stage that's a good bet.

But this is why I think Wednesday could be the day instead of tuesday. Ops haven't been working at the tops of the mountains and likely won't again tomorrow. They're gonna have so much work and snow safety to get things going itll be ridiculous. And with the staffing levels and covid going around even longer.

I'm betting on Wednesday, now that I realize I won't be up till Wednesday. Thought I was flying home this afternoon, but that is tomorrow. Betting on Wed-Sat being pretty damn fun. Might even bring the touring gear for an excursion Fri/Sat. Paging Powdork if he passes his covid test.

Anyone know where I can pick up a SnoPark pass on the west slope these days?

KW closed for the day to dig out. But I thought there was more storm moving in this evening. So tomorrow will also be closed??

Also, just reading BA's forecast for the 10' of snow this week. Does anyone remember '97?
I remember ‘97. Skied Bear Valley after a three day 8’+ storm cycle, almost unskiable and terrifying bottomless. Like, I’m 6’4” and it was over my head and heavy if you fell. I think KW had a base of 288” at the summit.

I think he was referring to them inviting people up despite the fact that the're likely not to load anyone. But it's hard to tell since it was just a screenshot of his phone with zero relevant info.

You can get a SnoPark pass at Amador station on 88 just past the 76/Ranger Station.

All roads still closed this morning although I wonder how hard the 50 "spinout" closure actually is. I have some friends trying to get out of South Lake..

I could maybe make Wednesday work possibly although it will cost me some points with the wife..

They're not getting out of SLT any time soon unless they're first in the miles long backup. Not sure what you mean by spinout closure though. They've been bombing all morning and Google is showing it closed from Pollock Pines.
