    Nice stoke Wobby and Darkstar.

Dookey, if you don't work something out, and we can figure out a handoff, I'm a 296bsl and have two rigs I am currently just nit getting out on. You are welcome to borrow, but I think I like my planks fatter than you do.

Yeah, S and SE is the call right now. The stuff I hit offa 431 was $$ on Halloween.

Sadly, my Shifts are broke (won't stay locked in tour mode) and Salomon says they won't replace them for a year!
Got some Hagan's in the mail and just ordered new boots, so I am out of touring for a few weeks unless I use my completely dead Tracker set-up...

    Or invest in some snowshoes...
If you can find a way into Beast 14’s. You can use my rig. 186 Lhasa new skins. Bla bla. I won’t use them again this winter. Same bsl

    Thanks, man.
My heavy rig is 186 Regulators (94mm). That's with the currently glitchy Shifts.

My as-of-yet not set up set-up is 180 ZeroG 105's with Hagan Core 10 binders (waiting on new boots to arrive).

Thanks MTT. Will hit you up if I end up getting skunked with my current gear fixes.

I was just glad that my inaugural tour was mellow and low-angle, so when I popped out it was more of an annoyance than a real hazard. Had I been on something steep and icy, though...
Salomon gave me a bit of a run around trying to get this fixed- they initially tried to get me to return/replace the whole toe, but after pressing them a few times and following up on my support request they shipped me the windows w/ the bumps and the problem was fixed for me.

    Aye yo!
Whomever stashed a coupla apres Coors Heavies in the snowbank at the bottom of Castle Peak Road, the snowbank melted and your road sodas were rolling around in the intersection.
    I retrieved 'em for ya.
They are available to be picked up in Truckee.
PM me to arrange a hand-off.

Actually didn't tour, just did a drive-by to scope conditions.
    Boreal is burnt.
S facing front side of Castle is burnt.
Judah didn't look worth any effort.
I saw 3 boarders loading their gear into a beat-up Mercedes wagon at the PCT Sno-Park, but they didn't appear to have packs or split boards, so not sure what they had been up to. That said, the ridge on the NE boundary of Boreal looked to be holding nicely...

I skied Rose area on Sunday and it was solid. Would say based on today's visual recon of Truckee area spots, 431 is the call.

Wave cloud this morning over Washoe Valley. Insane down slope wind event on Galena taking place. I’m guessing wind gust of
55+Mph. Waiting for the power to go off any second now.

They haven't announced it which they would have if there was a planned shutoff. OTOH I was reading that PGE is in hot water in CA over unplanned shut-offs. Apparently they have new, more sensitive equipment that shuts lines off automatically if there's any disturbance like a branch hitting a line. Given the number of shutoffs this year I wonder if NV Energy has the same kind of equipment, likewise TDPUD.

Boreal sent out their official email this morning stating that they have ceased operations until there is more snow and colder temps.

Sounds like maybe the woman got between the frightened bear and the exit, not that she had any way of knowing that. The front door looks intact. If that photo was taken after the incident the bear might have managed to open an unlocked door.

Unfortunately the woman is likely to have more trouble from "bear lovers" than she had from the bear. Things get very ugly when problem bears are captured and killed and the homeowner who reported the problem gets blamed, whether justified or not.

That reporter had enough makeup on her face to protect her from any bear attack.

Having hit freel once in low tide conditions, all I can think about is the walk out from fountain place right now, no matter how tasty those lines look.

Best way to hit it early is the only way to hit it now. From the backside on FS 051. Almost everything else is under closure now. Technically you could go from cold creek and then roundabout to star lake, or from heavenly once they start spinning chairs
