A shit ton of water still coming down the section above Bitterbrush and the first 2 bridges below Timberline are just plain gone. Had to bail and ride through the neighborhood to get back to my car on Callahan.

Fucking awful shit. Hope she is found soon.

I came here to post pics and lament the lack of lift towers on the new Red Dog alignment (but at least foundation/forms for the base terminal), but seems like small potatoes. Ugh.

Other news: film premiere for the MTB crowd at Alibi (Truckee) on Tuesday night. Come out.

Damn. Are they going back out tomorrow? Looks like a pretty long shot at this point with no sign of even the car.

Went to reno today and saw Kiely signs on the gas station door. They have them on each lane at the ag checkpoint. This is how I hope I am searched for if I ever go missing. Really sad to see signs that this is likely to have a tragic ending.

Nevada county upped its game today through activating their code red system with phone calls and text messages. I wish they’d done it a few days ago. We’ve been keeping our eyes open in our little corner of paradise.

2 P-Funk tickets for Sunday in Truckee up for grabs. My favorite band ever and one of George's last shows, but work. PM me.

Anyone care to recommend a campground or camping spot for the Tahoe City area. We will be there for a few days next weekend.

^^^ Disregard ^^^ Anyone have any campground suggestions for camping in and around South Tahoe for next weekend? Turns out we will be at that end of the lake and not Tahoe City.

DL Bliss is great but it can be tough to reserve a spot.

Fallen Leaf Lake is your best option if you're going to be doing outside stuff. If you're looking for more casino/concert type stuff then Nevada Beach is probably best. Both may be hard to get.

Is staying at the City of South Lake Tahoe Campground by the Lake a good or bad idea. That’s pretty much all that is available in the area.

The campground is nice but it is in the center of town. On the plus side it is right across the street from Lakeview commons beach. If you're there Thursday they have a free concert on the lake there. Close to shopping and restaurants too.

The SLT city campground website warns of loud construction noises while the aquatic center is being built this year.
Any idea of the construction schedule? Sounds like it’s just beginning.

Thx for the info. It’s our first time ever in SLT so there’s a lot of positives to a central location. Can you guys recommend a kid friendly hike? Or other kid friendly outdoor venues / activities in the area?

Depends on the age of the kid but Vikingsholm (Emerald Bay) is a nice mellow hike.
