Low Cloud cover I think; doubt fog would occur when it was so cold

So Yes! Great skiing>not great day for pics though

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

    Here's some stoke from tonight

Who was shooting at you guys. The parking attendant?
Thanks for the education. Haven't ridden a bus in the canyon 30 years.
Been living up the LCC the last 30, working up there the last 45.
Moved down to our place in Wasatch Resort in May; trying to figure how to catch the bus when the nearest bus stop is two miles away. In the wrong direction. Tried to get bus stops installed at our intersection, no luck. Wish the park and ride at the mouth was still served...
How about White Pine? Why did they put a cell tower right where a bus stop should be?

After 42 years of skiing in area powder with a red pass, I'm kinda satiated.
Enough so that I'm not pulling any scheduled shifts this winter. On call and avy work. Don't wanna get off at 5pm on a given day and spend 3 hours getting home only 8 miles away, after 30 years of walking home from work in 10 minutes.
Most anti gondola folks don't work up the LCC and can leave before 5pm.
For downtown patrol one gets home at 8pm with a red snake and needs to be at work at 5am.
More buses and a second lane ain't gonna fix that or improve avalanche safety on a storm day.
One shitty driver/vehicle is all it takes...

Gonna be ski touring for frenzy free powder in the future, don't know how to wait in lift lines.
Figure to be in area skiing when lines are small.
With a pass at both the bird and the Alta, gonna park at Snowbird entry 1 any time there might be a red snake. Even if skiing the Alta. Cut two miles off the tail of that bad boy.

All that said, the LCC delivers the goods.
Why we're even chatting about it.
How to help it move into the future concerns all of us.
I care about this canyon and its users deeply. Obviously.

For the backcountry user parking problem I sincerely hope everyone bitching about it contacts the USFS and demands parking so that they can access their national forest.
Becky Hotze on a local level, Mary Farnsworth on a regional one.
Forest service works pretty slowly, so act soon!

Very little is set in stone and hope that folks are able to park and tour 24/7 in the LCC.

TFW, I know you care but I struggle how you can support the eyesore and crazy logistics of the gondola.

We have never even tried a decent bus system. I think we need to try that first. Hell, I'd rather force everyone to use buses in the winter than that crazy gondola. And how do you think it's going to work getting out of the gondola base station. Traffic still going to be a shit show my man just trying to get into and out of La Calle.

I want to puke everytime I think of that project. Huge corporate welfare, a complete fuck up of an eyesore in the beautiful LCC, and will still be a nightmare traffic situation.

If I haven't made a dent in your thinking with my experience and logic to date, it ain't gonna happen.
Read my posts on the subject for the last few years if you truly care to understand my point of view.

Great pic. Caught the Road to Provo opening and it was definitely dense and a bit upside down. I had a great time but my son struggled.
