FKNA Alta was firing today. Got a nice tour of the recent avalanches too. I think east castle running to the ground and causing a sympathetic release on the apron only to run again yesterday may have impressed me the most. Though seeing cecert lake filled with debris was also a site to see.

not a lot of penetration but skied homogenously well bit softer in sheltered and a rhime crust at the valley floor/road

diggins in the snow confirmed still suspect snowpack structure but bridging to the point of no results on ect

I’ve never skied a stone crusher as fast as my first run today. Then catching firsts down yellow trail. So good

Some fun turns still to be had this afternoon as well! Never left Collins Gulch but for some High Boys and Greeley’s…

Anyone ski DV today? Curious where the rain levels were earlier in the week and what coverage is like. Trying to be coerced over there tomorrow…

Rain levels were around 8kft. Didn’t ski DV yesterday but skied PCMR and everything below bonanza/payday was “firm. Up higher was surprisingly soft.

Canyons was surprisingly good today… if you could get on a lift. Crazy how poorly things are running there. Anyway, lapped the pines and dream catcher first thing, which skied fantastically for a reported “3in”, and got out.

Honeycomb opened right in front of me, firm under with 3 or 4 inches of creamy goodness on top.

It's actually better when the return lift is closed
And would be better if middle slope was gated and only open from the top

    East face open?
I may be up tomarrow morn

Agree, crossing all the traverse tracks when dropping into middle is annoying, but the rest of the run is so good.

East face wasn't open yet, some good slide debris on it.

I should be there tomorrow, see ya out there

Hoping to get up Evergreen and check it out tomorrow, looks like there may still be a few good turns left.

    Nordic Valley, never been…till Monday.
Buddy’s dad is in town and he just turned 80. Apparently he skis absolutely free up there, that’s unheard of these days. So why not, $29 for me to get some fresh air and wiggles too.
Taking him up to Alta later this week for his $50 pass. Couple days ago he would’ve paid $1099.

Bill is really stoked right now to be 80 and still skiing!

Weather was kind of weird. Started sunny, the intermittent sun w/ wispy clouds + what may have been greenhousing? It was so hot. Gonna skip s aspects tomorrow.

I did a 4:30pm Emma's lap to test the snow and everything seems like it stayed cold thanks to the clouds yesterday.

Personally, I don't recall ever doing it in a full tuck in conditions that firm.

Still some fun skiing to be had up there
