Red Dodge Ram, 1500 crew cab I believe. Probably post 2010. Utah Firefighter plates unfortunately.

It was fucking awful to watch, I thought for sure a plow truck would come around the corner, kill everyone in the truck and then push the whole mess into the line of traffic.

Anyway, don’t want to hijack. Today was excellent in the backcountry, everyone we encountered was super friendly and stoked to be out. No rage in the bc.

IMO the GOTOS truck fucks are the worst drivers, especially when they think they're the best. I have a sedan with nice winter tires and grew up in a midwest state that lacks public $$ to clear snow from the roads and I bet my sedan does better on the roads than 85% of the GOTOS players railing corners in 3" of compacted ice.

But only stoke today! Merry Christmas mags!

Dshack that woulda been Sam. Same age and flavorsaver. Folks mix us up all the time.

That catch and carry at the bird was in the south chute of Wilbere Bowl.
Same place where Jamie was killed.
1000' ride, buried to his neck, blown knee.

Difference right now 'tween the bird and the alta is that the alta's core terrain is pretty much moguls to the dirt. Not so in west alta. P gulch and the cirque traverse were only open the last few days and after the last storm. They missed their chance to get moguls from the ground up in that terrain. The skier compaction is now bridging the weak snow; avalanches need more weight to break, thus making for deeper more problematic slides. Every time it snows significantly they have a deeper problem than the alta and opening times will reflect this in core terrain until the snowpack stabilizes.

Too bad HR down there is willing to cut off their nose to spite their face.
I could be of great help in a year like this down there if they wanted me...
Damn vibes to the patroller! Hoping for a speedy recovery

Gotta be home by 1 or so tomorrow, thinking of lining up at Chickadee. Figure that will be the only way to ski early at Snowbird tomorrow morning.

I don’t mean to bitch, but, 5 inches overnight last night turned into a 10:15 Gad valley only start this morning.

Seeing a lot of people mentioning the big delays at the Bird lately. They got Gadzoom running at first bell today at least.

The bird is a sad sad shell of its former great self. The clown rodeo they got going on there is heartbreaking.

Which one of you beaters rode Collins with me today and said "The new owners of Alta are really ruining this place"?

... immediately after putting the bar down.
