I get what they're trying to do, but they probably need to make the gate even higher to filter out the side steppers. Also that traverse into Middle Slop was heinous after two hours of light use once some sun hits that it will be closed.
Maybe let Milk Run drop from the original gate, but run the rope line all the way up, and make Parachute, and Middle slop drop from the weather station?
That was a good few laps! I'll be back out tomorrow to hopefully catch Honeycomb opening, see you out there. I'll PM you my number and we can link again.
My favorite skiing time slot is the noon to 3, up after the morning shift is done, down before the 4 o'clock canyon crunch. The whole human race is de evolving; it is due to birth control, smart people use birth control, and stupid people keep pooping out more stupid babies.

Sent from my iPhone using TGR ForumsI need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Where did everyone go? Has the Wasatch given up on skiing in the backcountry?
I'm not complaining. Great snow. No crowds. One other track in the zone I skied.

I’m sorry but are these snow totals from UAC for this weeks storm or what? Because I don’t see anywhere near 45” of snow here in upper BCC.
Final Storm Totals
Little Cottonwood Canyon: 25-49.5" snow (1.60-2.60" H2O)
Big Cottonwood Canyon: 14-44" snow (0.82-2.73" H2O)
Park City Ridgeline: 12-16"snow (0.80-1.20 H2O)

Nowhere to park for dawn patrol...
bunch of gapers took our parking spots...saw a pile of people on wed, stuck in flats or digging themselves out of that sweet waist deep pow at Alta.
- missed yesterday ;parking was nowhere to be had at 11 am...and sore back too so I bailed. lol /it happens
Wed had some SWEET turns to be had Supreme was pretty much walk on, as everyone was either at Collins or in the Lodgeski paintingshttp://michael-cuozzo.fineartamerica.com" horror has a face; you must make a friend of horror...horror and moral terror.. are your friends...if not, they are enemies to be feared...the horror"....col Kurtz

Alta site shows 33" March 7-9 / 1.97" water. Where are these mythical places in the upper cottonwoods that received more SWE than the collins sensor?

such a good day up north at snowbasin. Best non pow day of the year. The cold temps and the wind blew a bunch of snow into areas to freshen them up. Everything soft. Skied a bunch of stuff I haven't touched all year, lone tree, middle bowl and needles cirque. hopefully the wind keeps up tonight and gives us another refresh.

The smart ones go when the patrol countdown hits 2. Then if they have any skills they are first to MBX and not stuck in the cluster. If you head out your behind everyone and have to wait an hour to head back up. Min ropedrop is suck a shitshow

"Once we got to the top I skied an 8 foot wide strip of snow that hadn’t avalanched between the two deeper slides. My partners moved to the right to ski. What we didn’t take into account until after is that the right side had avalanched but not down to the PWL.

Although I generally agree with the sentiment, if you truly knew what was up you’d have been over at Cham and gotten a better run without the masses. Two feet of fresh beats beat out Cirque runs, regardless of the lift wait. YMMV
(Edit, I almost feel dirty posting that.)
