A little corn for lunch followed by some chairlift assisted laps. Those 3" inches this week really smoothed everything out nicely

And just to let everyone know the Rossi Sender Ti's are rad! Super fun ski

Obviously going to change, but went and did a couple laps on Box Elder yesterday
-continuous snowline at 7.8Kish - seemed pretty consistent for the zone
-fairly wind affected, shotgun chutes are fairly smooth once in them
-cliff bands passable, stay skiers right

Funny you mention Box Elder, was just there this morning. Shotgun and NE looked nice and smooth but I'm still recovering from covid a month ago so only good for one lap, and we wanted to summit

Conditions were not super but it was still a super day

Getting up to the Bird this afternoon w the family. Looks like being stuck w the boys vacation week this year may pan out! Any tips on when to grab a decent demo for the wife ? She hopefully will need something more than her 100 underfoot Atomics .

Yeah they had a pretty good selection out on the deck today, including a few of the M-Pro 192. Didn't get up in time to partake , but the band on the deck was fire!

Well zzz, myself and his kid decided to check it out. Drove to about 6800 then booted the remainder. Bailed about 600’ below the summit due to time and conditions. Conditions were a mixed bag of soft snow, wind board, frozen gran and a little corn. Weather was better than expected so all in all a good day.

About here, just below the right hand switchback. Above that you get into the deep pines and there are fairly long/deep drifts.

Did you find a good spot to turn around? I remember getting to that spot a few years ago, maybe a tad lower, and hitting a big drift. We were in a double cab long bed Taco and turning that fucker around was no small feat. I was gripped throughout the 482 point turn my buddy managed to pull off, the nose of the truck always seemed dangerously close to going over the edge and into the drainage...

We stopped at a place that I could back in completely off the road and turn around, and then got out and walked up a hundred meters to see if it was worthwhile to go further. It wasn't, so I just parked there.

That ^ sounds like the spot that TH, NoHow, JTrue and myself drove to 14 years ago. Only difference being we were on snow immediately and skied right back to the Tahotel for ice cold margs by 3pm
