Do you rep cdale? Why is this an argument? They have a long history of doing weird shit. Some of it’s cool - doesn’t mean I’m obligated to buy it or deal with it when, like everything else bike related, it breaks or needs maintenance. Those are just concrete facts. I dont hate them as a brand. I’m sorry you feel called out by that.

Holee fuck I feel like I’m taking crazy pills here. You guys are normal posters but this is bizarre. It’s like mentioning to a friend you don’t like Chevy trucks or the Green Bay Packers and all of a sudden he snaps.

    I’m out.

Almost all my bike stuff is weird, Alchemist wheels, German-A Carbon fork, etc. I use a belt drive SS as my daily driver.

Cannondale was cool because they kept the horizontal top tube around for a long time... then they folded like every other road bike company and just made a tarmac look-alike. I guess that's ~~science~~ but still.

My lbs redished new wheels to fit my superx in like 2 mins. Obviously it would have been better if it fit out of the box, but "infuriating" is a strong word.

That is good to know. I stopped reading when I saw they had their own standard, happy to hear you can retrofit
