Aa opposed to many book freaks on dragonmount, I enjoyed episode 5. Loial is smaller, but I like the visuals. Nice Padan fain cameos. And wolfbrother!

Not a big fan of the invented stepin stuff, but it was ok.

I'm liking the show so far. I am currently reading the books again (on Book 3 right now). I do wish Loial was bigger, but understand the cgi cost would be too much. I do think the actor playing Loial is doing a good job with the character. I'm surprised how quickly I accepted actror's portrayal of Moraine. When reading once I get a character's appearance in my head it's hard for me to accept an actor that doesn't come close to my perceived appearance. Moraine's height was a the biggest feature to me from the books and the actor portraying her doesn't match, but to me she's doing a good job portraying her other attributes.

Rand is the one character that isn't working well for me. Maybe it's because the show is focusing more on Moraine than Rand, but it doesn't feel like Rand. Not only does the actor not resemble my vision of Rand he isn't capturing Rand's personality.

I'm really hoping episode 6 introduces a character that Perrin and Egwene meet from Book 1.

    Rand is a whiney bitch.
Cinematography in the mountains was sick.

It could have been so good had they found a better actor for Rand...

I agree. I still like the series even with the changes from the book, but the actor playing Rand is not working for me.

I change my vote. Utter nonsense with a hyperfeminist plot hole machine.
    Episode 8 Was the worst.
So altogether makes the season 5/10.
    I don't know whether I'll watch season 2.
Well, AT least I still have the Expanse.
And for good, or at least fun, fantasy I'll probably have to go back to the Witcher..

Was leaning in this direction after 7, seems as if the trend accelerates.

Episode 8 was disappointing. Trollocs looked unfinished and Perrin and Padan Fain confrontation didn't really make a lot of sense. I'm guessing the show runners had to switch to Perrin since the actor playing Mat left the show before it was finished. I wasn't a fan of Moraine's fate, but hopefully that arc will work in season 2.

I am looking forward to seanchan in season 2.

None of it makes much sense; if there's a second season's I'll at least start it to see how much more of the rails it can get. For any one that hasn't read the books, it's a hot mess.
