So Silver is looking to be prime, esp after the 20+” of blower we skied today. High winds and bitter cold expected the next few days. Saturday is looking to be blue bird with a slight warm up with highs in the mid 20’s. Soft snow will be on tap with some areas of pow out the gates. Mfreeeezzz will be strapped to my feet Saturday fosho. 5 more sleeps!

I canceled my trip. Logistics do not look favorable with the dog, and my buddy pulled out so I'd have been solo. Was very much looking forward to meeting and skiing with you all in on a new to me mountain. Perhaps next year when I have support on the home front.

Slight refresh last night at Silver and the wind machine is on! Headed up tomorrow for some Recon. Conditions are super soft chalk all over and deep pow in a lot of places per a report from yesterday.

Ok, I think I'm gonna head out there for a partial appearance... ski Silver on Saturday and go to dinner/party with the gang, then bail back west early Sunday morning to maybe ski a couple hours at Alpy and get back to my family at a reasonable hour.

Hell yeah, ima throw out an idea. From what I’m hearing Schwiz is firm and got pretty fucked by wind.

For those heading this way, my suggestion is to pack a ski that can tour.

Lookout got plastered and it’s been cold. I bet we can find some pretty great snow out that way.

We have plenty of time to come up with a plan on Saturday when skiing silver/ eating pizza in CDA. Ultimately if everyone wants to roll Schwiz I’m totally fine with that, I’m just saying I’m not tied to that idea and if people want to chase some soft snow I’m game to help point us in the right direction.
