Are these better than the S7 HD?

BTW - I know it’s just a “ski mag test” but these got top marks in the Freeskier Mag this year.

They are that good…. I’m seriously torn between selling these or the Blanks. Blanks are a more playful, but take a more dynamic skiing style to get the most out of them. These are just absolutely smash mouth blow shit up well shotgunning PBRs in jorts and pit vipers at Mach loony type of ski, but maybe that paints them into a corner they don’t belong because they are way better then to be in that corner of the ski industry.

Blister got the review for these right. Usually I have some issue with their reviews, not these. 100% belong on the Mt Rushmore of damp stable skis.

Damn I may of just talked myself into selling the Blanks instead of these but the Blanks are in Wyoming and I’m in New York so these are for sale not those.

These skis riiiiiip. I have the 186s, 194s would be fun but a bit long for the tight terrain where I live.

You have a different ski. The Sender Squad only comes in 194…

I *really* don't need these, but based on the Blister flash review and the way some people have talked about them on here, I'm super intrigued.

skibrd, which line (or neither of them) did you ski them at?

I skied them at both lines, preferred the forward line (-6), which is weird because I usually prefer skis mounted back further, but I did spend a ton of time on the Rustler 9s.

They are what Blister says they are. If I keep them I’ll mount them at the forward (-6) line. Fits how I’m skiing better.

I was slightly grumpy that I didn’t get to ski them all spring, they would of been sick in corn/slush. I really don’t want to sell them but decisions must be made with moving out of Jackson for a bit.

Can anyone point me to a good review of this ski that's not on Blister?

If you trust Freeskier mag buyers guide… great article. They have a deep dive article of their own. These skis are legit. Ex ambassador at Crystal and all around good guy Keith R we’ll call him raved & raged on these. Very tempting. Somebody pleeze buy these so I don’t.

I can recommend them. Not the most exciting or lively ski, but if you like big damp skis that ski shorter and are easy to ski fast, you'll enjoy. I'd slot them right between a full metal crud specialist and pow and chunder destroyer. They're totally solid on both firm and softer snow. 110 under foot. Hope this helps.

I could only find this deep dive which is pretty bare bones and more like a press release. Is there more info in the print version?

Yep, liked these a lot more. OG Bodacious were very meh. These were damp but fun. Wished I had them all spring when I was trying out the Blanks to A/B them.

The ending of the Freeskier article is spot on. I’m getting close to pulling the listing so I can A/B with the Blanks to see which I like better. I feel like it will be these, just going by the saying that the Sender Squads are for people who ski with their goggles over their helmet and the Blanks are for people who ski with their googles under their helmets. Aegggg….

I give a LOT of deals, almost always am willing to negotiate. I’m not here. $500 plus shipping. In a few weeks when I get back to Wyoming, I’ll have a bunch of skis for sale, all with great deals again, but these I’m being a stickler on. If you don’t like it, you are more then welcome to pay $7/8/900 or what ever retail/pro deal price is.

So I have a pair of these in my hot little hands courtesy of an amazing birthday present and am debating over mount point. I’ve recently gotten on better with modern skis back of recommended by a cm or two (corvus, ranger 107), and putting them on the -2 line seems like a no brainer. But…. Looking for anybody who thinks that’s the wrong answer. If it’s a useful data point, I’m 5’9” and ~160lbs, 295bsl.
