Question For Mags That Take Their Dogs Into The Pines
What do you use to get the pitch from fallen cones out of their feet?

Any type of fat will work: mayo (old lumberjack trick), cooking oil, peanut butter, etc. I prefer mineral oil as it's like $1/bottle at a drug store, doesn't taste good and you can use it to treat your wooden cutting boards when you aren't using it for pitch.

Rubbing alcohol dissolves sap and pitch almost instantly. That's why hand sanitizer works. Good tip for woodworking too. If there is a pitch pocket, dump some rubbing alcohol in there and the pitch magically disappears.

my ex brought her ski's into 10th mtn hut and ripped skins in am. big chunks of glue couldn't scrape off. Wild Turkey cleaned em up in a heart beat. might want to carry a half pint in your pocket.

Would applying some Musher's Secret beforehand help prevent the sap from sticking? That stuff's fantastic in general, but haven't used it for pine sap, so I don't know.
