Becoming a Bounty Hunter?
A different thread brought up Dog the Bounty Hunter and it got me thinking.
What’s it take to be a bounty hunter? Have any maggots been either the hunter or the hunted? What’s this all about?

What about the dude that did the heist retrieval by sneaking into the thief’s lair? Does that count?

From what I remember you need to be a recovering addict with a deep tie to Jesus, some kids from different mothers, wife with big tits, big cans of mace, big crew[see kids from different mothers], and a desire to converse with scumbags willing to give up other scumbags. Write TR's often so we can follow along.

I think you have to be OK with potentially getting shot.

I would look into bounty hunter programs at your local community college.

I had a friend that was a repo man in New Mexico. After the 2nd time he got shot at on the res he quit.
So, repo man could be a way to get in on the ground floor. When life gives you haters, make haterade.

Most bounty hunting is for people who skipped out on their bail.
With the trend away from cash bail arrangements due to equity issues, there may not be a lot of long-term demand

I like different opinions actually. Simply having different opinions doesn't cunt any thread up.
Are you on the spectrum by the way? You don't seem to get why people have issues with your posts and I'm wondering this is why you can't 'read a room'. Nothing wrong with that of course! I'm sure it helps in your IT profession, right?

I don't know about repo-ing people.
I think airplane repo would be fun."timberridge is terminally vapid" -- a fortune cookie in Yueyang

This. It's a dying industry so get in while you still can. Nowadays they prefer GPS ankle bracelets to track defendants and motivate them to appear in court. Some bracelets detect booze through your skin. Detecting other drugs is the next big breakthrough.
If you want an emerging shady industry similar to bounty hunters, I recommend private Electronic Home Monitoring device companies. Jails typically outsource this service to some local guy running his business out of his garage.

That's why most people don't repo off the rez. And if they do they typically go through a resolution process with the owner rather than just come take the car.
Some reservations you can't repo anything that's more than half paid off, others you have to go through tribal court to get approval, either way tribal police will be no help and stateys won't touch it. My buddy worked with a tow company out of Bernalillo and they'd mostly just wait till the owner had to leave the rez rather than try and hook them at their hogan.

You just need a gmc pickup truck and a ramp for some reason.
And this, which for some evil reason I cannot embed today. Its missing .gif.

I used to play softball with a guy who repo'd cars.
He actually had a pretty sweet setup.
His normal looking SUV had a fold up dolley he towed behind and in about a min he could have the front wheels of the repo secured and on his way.
Team policy was if you struckout (slow pitch) you had to bring a case of beer next week.
He struck one week, then twice the next week and we never saw him again."The mind, once expanded to the dimensions of larger ideas, never returns to its original size."

Maybe this could be the perfect side hustle for leroy jenkins when he's not training avalanche dogs?

He could train dual purpose dogs. Attack avalanche dogs for when patrol wants to take a bite out of poachers.
