2021 Elan Ripstick 106 and Shifts

    Feeler…

I picked up some crazy cheap Pivot 15s back in the Spring. Just ordered a CAST set-up. Got some Reckoner 112s in mind for the Pivots/CAST. And have some new Mindbender 116Cs now with Tectons.

So with new CAST and Tecton touring set-ups, I don’t think this 180 cm (2021) Ripstick/Shift sidecountry set up will get that much use. And I have too many other skis in this size range. But I don’t mind keeping this set up either as the 2021 Ripstick 106s are great skis! These are like M102s that don’t feel heavy/dead. They rip. And the 2021 Ripsticks have more carbon, so is stiffer than previous years versions. I also have the 96 Black Editions, which are great too.

Both the RS 106 skis and Salomon Shifts (din 13) are mint, with only a few easy ski days on each.

The skis have just the 1 mount for Shifts at +2.5 (-7.2cm), for a 290mm bsl.

Thinking $399US delivered for the skis flat to US/Canada.

    $300US delivered for the Shifts.

    Or $675US delivered for both?

Left and right ski on wrong side is middle pics…

I’m all full in the 106 world but let me know if you need a home for those 96’s!

Very tempted. Can I try my overly punched boots with the shifts?

Bump for like new 106 Ripsticks (180cm).

Looks like I have a buyer for the Shifts, if someone takes the skis.

Ya I’ve had a few low ball offers that I’ve said no to.

I was fondling these RS 106s on the weekend. Really is a sweet set-up. I’m just going through those “I now have 10 skis in my quiver and should sell one” kind of weeks.

Not sad to keep this set-up in my rocket box all winter. It will get used.

Skis like a lighter, nimbler M102.

Fun skis. I owned a pair. Miss them. But a buddy skis them so I see them every once in awhile

2021 Elan Ripstick 106 and Shifts

    Thanks for the interest.

Ripstick 106s sold local for $500CDN (~$390US equivalent). No ship cost!

The economics....paid $525CDN from Corbetts (=$749 x 30% discounted price = $525) x 1.05 GST = $550CDN landed cost to me - $500sale = $50CDN cost to own these. $50 / ~3 ski days (they were mint) = $16.67/day. I'm good with that number. Don't demo....instead buy good stuff cheap then resell. There is also an intrinsic value to owning/feeling good skis….worth at least $50 to me.

Will miss these Ripsticks on Whistler sidecountry days but some new K2 Reckoner 112s with CAST and K2 Mindbender 116s with Tectons are pretty good replacements.

Gonna re-think on selling the Shifts 110mm...may keep for myself or re-list them shortly with more pics in a separate GS thread for around $325US - $340US or so shipped?

Corbett's released a 30% off full retail code for any item last spring....my buddy got one and he let me use it. Which is why I bought these Ripsticks. It was weird as I couldn't login to Corbett's under my regular account, I had to use a different email. So maybe if was for first time buyers?
