yep, no matter what he says it'll look bad for him. Silence makes him look like a DB, but that is maybe moreso a 'court of public opinion' matter.

I bet even if he just drove off leaving her in a fit, and something happened to her, he'll get charged with something or other.

Yeah because that happens all the time. Way more than actual rapists who are never even investigated, let alone charged...

Wow. I’m surprised this thread turned out to be such a Rorschach test. What do you guys think he would be charged with if they had an argument and went their separate ways? why not cooperate if it was an actual missing persons case?

This is most likely what it looks like. He probably killed her.

This looks like the final area and when he took off for Florida. Supposedly someone saw him throwing stuff away at a gas station in Jackson the same night with the van.

I don't know Rorschach. but you may probably be right.

Who knows, just sayin - if he admits to leaving her out BFE, and some prosecutor argues 'any reasonable person knew or should have known' that she could get hurt if he left her out there in a mentally fragile state without telling anyone .. I dunno, negligence? Hopefully not resulting in death? People are afraid of getting jammed, esp when society needs someone to blame. Even if their actions aren't bad ones per se.

Lotta in's, lotta out's, lotta what-have-you's. Lot of strands to keep in my head, man.

Sure - odd's are he most likely off'd her. But this is good banter. If we all just agreed, this whole board would be no fun at all.

Leaving her in BFE and taking her phone isn't all that different than burying her alive. Odds of her making it back to civilization alive are not good either way.

I love that our resident pocket-meat thief Benny doesn’t change in the face of so many barbs. You know what you’re gonna get, good, bad, or insufferable.

So yeah, get em in a room with this guy. Ask for the boyfriend’s opinions on the Clintons, rich people and greater Greenwich Area lemonade stands. My guess is this thing is solved in 2-3 hours tops.

I didn't know he took her phone. He did? In the world of hypotheticals there's a lot of open territory, so he's prob thinking that boxing himself into a story isn't in his best interest - even if it's a) the truth and b) not as brutal as using the GOTOS shovel for the first/last time.

The real story here is how they #vanlifed for more than a week without killing each other in a van built on the Ford Focus platform.
