This one sucked. But he kept it private and did it on his terms. Not surprising at all. Thanks Norm for bringing some smiles to the world, it was appreciated. RIP

Damn! Norm reminded me a lot of Charles Grodin, who also died this year. Not a good year for dead-pan comics.

YES! THAT was his art, and he was indeed the master at his craft. A true legend.

The tributes have been impressive. Look at the amount of funny people in Spade’s post alone.

just fell down a bit of a Norm rabbit hole. Apparently there were 15 Celeb Jeapordy skits on SNL. Norm was in 6, but co-wrote all of them.

All the Sean Connery vs Trebek jokes. Norm's influence.

    What a legend.

I had no idea Bob Dole was still alive. Bob Dole says Bob Dole likes Norms impression of Bob Dole.

One of the most hilarious impressions ever

I thought I had seen all of Norm but I've never been so glad to be wrong. That is fkn gold.
I also never thought a celebrity death would hit me as hard as Steve Irwin's when I was four years old. I was wrong about that too but I wish I hadn't been.

Agree with everyone else. He was was of the funniest people ever to walk the planet.

The View was so cringy and he could not be stopped. Just when Babs told him to shut up, he's like "murderer."

But my favorite will always be the Conan/Courtney Thorne-Smith one. It's very funny, but the "..is spelled b-o-r-e-d." is fucking brilliant; one of the best impromptu single lines ever. It's off the cuff, it's not vulgar, it's not schtick, there's no "shock" in it...it just a comedy genius at his best. I've prolly watched that clip 200x over the years and still crack up.

The world is definitely less funny today.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Was so sad to see this yesterday, and led me deep down a YouTube rabbit hole.

    RIP Norm.

    Love you Norm!
Well, except Soups beat you to it with the actual clip. But carry on shitting all over your own tribute thread.
    focus.
