Selling Web Domains

I’ve accumulated a couple dozen domains over the years but I’ve never sold any. Got a random request to sell one for $800 recently. It is loosely associated with one of my older companies and forwards to a current one, but I could do without it. It’s been in place and generating traffic for 20 years. I did lose some money on that part of the biz venture and wouldn’t mind recapturing the $3k. But don’t want to scare the buyer away, I guess I’d probably take the $800. The broker with my web host says they can’t diaclose the buyer. Would be nice to know if it was a competitor or something entirely unrelated. Anyone with inside info on domain prices etc?
