Thanks. Pretty good day up there. I miss timed pretty much every rope drop lol but got in some good turns here and there. LL is pretty legit. Back bowls nice and steep and long. The front side held some pow late in the day. Such a chill vibe compared to whistler.

Banff? Never heard of it. How close to whistler is it?

Weather looks clear Sunday. Can someone recommend a nice ski tour? Nothing super gnar but something scenic, 1000m vert type deal.

I'm not aware of avi conditions so this recommation is in lieu of that, but the dolomite circuit on the ice fields parkway is a gorgeous walk in the mountains.

There's a small shuttle you need to figure out but you could likely thumb it.

Just drove through there yesterday. Likely dust on crust. 2 degrees, grey bird, previous wet avy debris to road.

Got warm high in k-country/Banff today based on telemetry. Stick north to the ice box. Anything like surprise pass/ hector/ crowfoot glacier/ bow summit should be good but always depends on traffic...the classics areas are getting worked. We got it good yesterday on 93s but it’s just luck In busy areas....

Thx guys- we’ve been out getting after it as much as possible with such great stability over the last month. Good to have my fitness back after several years of rehab from a knee surgery. Unfortunately the season is winding down for me as work ramps up, however We will get a few more and I will keep posting the more interesting ones! Cheers

Sweet thanks. We are going to attempt Dolomite Shoulder. Going mostly for the views of this amazing looking area.

Looks like you got it better than we did, but at least we didn't have to contend with a warming schoolbus over our head! Definitely a nice looking and damn fine line...

    Speaking of that particular line...

From the "where are they now?" dept., here's a sequence... from many years ago... (around '07) of a young fella who went by the handle "powderface" on biglines and perhaps here.

As you can see, back then, when we skied it, the couloir was much steeper.

    Sick pics TD!

We had a nice mellow tour up dolomite shoulder on Sunday. Perfect weather and perfect corn. Drove out to Athabasca Glacier to check out the other zones. I’ll be back for sure.

Spring skiing in the Rockies is just so rad! Im not easily impressed these days but dang those peaks along the entire Icefield parkway are truly world class.

I was kinda shocked how quiet it was up there. I guess I’m just used to sea to sky sunny weekend chaos. But yeah it’s a ways out there, from Calgary especially.

I just got back from 3 days at Louise with my son. The snow pack is pretty impressive this year as coverage was excellent, we even had winter like snow in the ER chutes. Felt mor like mid March then late April.

Hi all, I will be up to the cowtown from Chile on May 18, what are the chances for skiing a day that week? Probably rent and go to Sunshine, but tips are welcome.
