There will definitely be skiing May 18th based out of Cowtown. Watch the ON freeze and there could be backcountry worth chasing and SSV is open until Victoria Day weekend with lots of terrain currently.

I’d say pretty good. Usually holds snow to the road till start of June and it’s been a really cold spring...

Went to shoeshine yesterday, and got first dibs on the dive! Hacked up for the most part, but skied well. “Dust on crust” said the sign, and we did find a couple pockets of wettish pow.

    FatBoy out was fine.

    Overall great day.

Even skied (well, water skied) down to the parking lot (almost).

July lift service for your off-season legs tho.

The snowfall in 2022 was disappointing, but so much fell last year in low wind that i haven't seen a snowpack that well filled since my young brat years. I was almost expecting this, was the last time 1991?

Wow! I remember as a kid having at least one lift serviced canada day at SSV. That’s awesome! To bad I’m drowning in work…

? One of LL top 5 total snowfall seasons ever…?

    5m by mid jan! Dec/Jan we’re all time….

Ssv- 2nd snowiest season on record. Very disappointing if you only ski in jeans, on groomers when it’s sunny?

That's what I said, most of it fell in 2021. Was something lost in translation? I only got shallow days after that, schedule fucked me.

Lol- some predictions of what they are calling a triple La Niña coming up this winter. “They” claim last time this happened was 98-99. World record snowfall year at “Baker.”

Might change your personal “22” year over year calendar stats…lol

    What a hoot!

Easy way to get July on a turns-all-year campaign.

Can you use your 21/22 pass?

Even though I know you're connected, the "?" Makes me wonder if this is a guess?

I couldn't find anything obviously indicating rates for this. I really like the novelty idea of skiing in the summer even if it's only strawberry but I don't think I'd be able to justify it at normal market rates.

These pics are laughable compared to the high quality photographic stoke that populates this thread but here's a few pics from closing day of the Sunshine summer season.

After a 15 hour drive from Smithers to Airdrie, there was no way I was getting my kids up at 7 for summer laps. Alas, I managed to have some solo fun, met a few folks (shout out to the Scottish dude from Advent Wood Products in Invemere I rode the chair with a few times). Mega fun and i scored a pair of $300 Brahma's at Switching Gears in Canmore on the way back.

Sone great ski lines to be had up there for the adventurous. It’s a very cold ice box especially now with no shelter….
