A little thread drift, but still a bad mail carrier. My dog got out of the back yard while I was away and barked at the mailman. He sounds mean and is big enough to not just punt across the street. He got pepper sprayed by the mailman. Probably deserved it. What pissed me off was that he didn't leave a note. It would've been a good thing to know before my little girl got home and gave the dog a big hug and kiss. I guess at least now she already knows what pepper spray feels like, which will hopefully keep her out of trouble in the future.

That sucks.
Forgive me if I am chuckling though at the thought of the mailman having a pad of pink tags like the undeliverable mail ones with a bunch of boxes to check describing the dog incident. "We're sorry. You were not home. We [pepper sprayed] your [dog] at [2:37 PM]."
I hope you're daughter and dog are both ok.

Sold a lens on a photography forum about 6 months ago... a couple of weeks back, the buyer emailed me and said he totally forgot about it, but the lens was never delivered. (let's ignore the obvious, who the fuck forgets about a $650 lens?)
Anyways, I checked the tracking history and the last thing USPS posted was "left with agent for final delivery". No one ever signed for it, it was never delivered, and it wasn't sent back to me. I filed a complaint, but conveniently the USPS has a 60-day statute of limitations with their claims, and so it was immediately denied.

Amazon has a delivery location option. It was on no preference I switched it to porch. We shall see if it improves…

Its unfortunate you daughter was so affected BUT your dog is out of control, gets itself pepper sprayed which he probably deserved but this was all on the " bad" mailcarrier because you expect him after having to pepperspray a large dog to come back and leave a note ?
I would expect the mail carrier to quit delivering the mail until you contact postal service to explain why your mail service should resume
they say there are no bad dogs
just bad owners,Lee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

One time when our mail carrier was walking by the windows he got a good view of my wife wandering around the living room naked. We never had a problem getting package delivery to the door after that. Sorry, no pics.
And @XXX-er, what is age-appropriate porn anyway?

If you have to ask.....
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Neighbor left my gate open. He's not a bad dog and I'm not a bad owner. Mail carrier was new and didn't know my 50lb dog didn't bite, which I understand. He was probably expecting a treat like he got from the old carrier,, and he's a pretty vocal dog. And yes, I expect a fucking note when the family pet gets sprayed. It's not a very complicated thing to wrap your mind around. When a public servant takes action against a dog like that it should be documented, for the sake of both sides.

I'm more into necrophilia thank you.
What I'm worried about is the guy who lives way down the street where half my packages are misdelivered has a couple of dogs--one big and scary, one aggressively playful--and I'm afraid that if the dogs get out the carriers will refuse to misdeliver my packages any more.

you sound like a closeted pathologist
a recovering surgeon who at his core would rather not have to put all the parts back worrying if they work properly and then just dictate a report on your best guess why they didnt work
if it was me i would just empty that canister on a big dog and I'm sure other posties feel the same way
so don't hug the dog just in caseLast edited by XXX-er; 09-07-2021 at 01:10 PM.
