No doubt. I had been keeping tabs since the original diagnosis. No updates until this. For me the stones will always be it

well, rip swinging that groove, Charlie.
Same, the Saturday night in July 2020 show became a Thursday night in November. Cool, no problem. Then news of Charlie, very tastefully and humorously, announcing his medical time out. Ok, happy to still see the Stones but it’ll no doubt be just that much less than.

Now this. If the show is still on come November you can bet your ass I’ll still be there. They just might not shine as bright as they normally would.

    "Now I'm in my car
    I got the radio on
I'm yellin' at the kids in the back seat
'Cause they're bangin' like Charlie Watts"

    It's been a slow turnin'
    From the inside out
    A slow turnin'
    But you come about

    Slow learnin'
    But you learn to sway
    A slow turnin' baby
    Not fade away"

My youngest was always banging away on anything and everything with his fingers to make any noise he could. We thought he would be a drummer. He had no interest in learning how to actually drum, he just wanted to make noise. He's pretty good at the piano which he was willing to learn.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, I dont think the man ever did a drum solo his entire Stones career.

I can't recall one. I remember reading or seeing him in an interview once saying something to the effect of that's not the role of a drummer, to stand out from the rest of the group.

A buddy of mine, who is a damn good drummer, said the Mt Rushmore of rock drummers is Baker, Moon, Bonham, Ringo, Watts. Apparently, he didn't realize it should be limited to 4.

    RIP Mr Watts.

Ginger Baker did not have kind words for Charlie's drumming.
