The smell is unmistakable… especially when KGB = Killer Green Bud. Like the fruit of the Gods.

Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Trampled to death with their tiny, tiny Wooly Mammoth feet, leaving no visible traces?

Sounds more plausible than the algae poisoning, I have to admit.

    Heat exhaustion?

That's weird to me. I understand that they've investigated many possible causes, but how do you have 3 people and a dog die in close proximity of heat exhaustion with water in their bottles?

    HYPERthermia. the opposite of HYPOthermia.

wasnt it not really that hot (upper 90s in that area is fairly average for summer)? And how did all of them die at basically the exact same time in the same spot, only a mile or two from the trailhead? And weren't their water bottles not empty? And the dog died there too? did an alien heatray get them all?
