Yep, those are exactly the ads that I remember!

My dad served with 2 of the 3 mountain commando groups in the ETO after they trained along with the 10th for combat missions on skis. 1st Special Service Force and the Norwegian American 99th Inf. Btn. (Separate) so it's been on my radar for a while. The Marines are buying a ton of these

No clue about what the 10th Mountain is skiing, but can confirm Naval Special Warfare bros are on the camo DPS/Kingpins/Maetrales.

Back before fat skins, I remember folks splitting skins to get grip near the edges.

You could use two of these per ski.

For $65, you can do a lot better. Even free dumpster-diving skis would be far preferable. And modifying them for kids could prompt notifications to your state's Child Protective Services.

    .
    Quoted for truth.

Bought a couple pairs just to see em maybe 8 years ago. I canít imagine something worse to ski on, esp for a kid, at any hacked length. They are very very stiff. And very heavy.

    1500 Pairs of Climbing Skins

Those skins are dog shit! I used to work at the mountain warfare training center teaching skiing and those are garbage. They should pay whoever is willing to take that pallet off their hands.

They use a wax-less ski now, it has scales on the camber/kick zone and has a snowboard like binding. Hence why they are scraping those
