I recently bought a 12mm TA adapter on Amazon for $12…there’s a ton of 20/15s for about the same price.

Yeah, I saw those as well - only problem on my end is they are all coming from China and expected delivery in 3-4 weeks with normal shipping or pay $40 shipping for $10 part to get it in time. He leaves for school aug 20th. Might just have to do that though.

I believe it is, thanks DH! Will try tonight.

So I was thinking it was prob 20x100 since obvi boost wasn’t around then, but maybe those old 20 thru axles were 110?

So 20mm axle was always 110mm, so there is 20x110 Non-Boost and now 20x110 Boost. BUT they are actually different.
The 20x110 Boost has the brake rotor 5mm further outboard form the hubs centerline. Thus allowing the flange to be further out, and therefore greater spoke angle, equalling greater wheel strength.
