Booked at the Mtn lodge for the 6th-15th.

Floated it by the Mrs and she wanted to come with, and then added on things 1 and 2 too. Stoked to be heading back next March.
Move upside and let the man go through...

Oh, yeah, Air France dropped their SEA<->ZRH fares by $100 today, so I scored one, landing March1, leaving March 15.
I'll get to mountainlodge-sedrun March 9th after 3 days in Klosters and a few days wandering around before that.

LOL. I guess this puts me and the wife in the "family" room. That's what I get for not booking earlier this morning.
So there are a couple of bunk beds that might be available 3/5-3/18 if some maggot is looking.

vendul has connections for lodging locally if mtlodge actually fills.
But, if mtlodge does fill, then vendul can ski with us and he knows stashes.

    Man I'm really FOMOing here.

Already got a pretty solid ski trip schedule this winter, and a superproworkspouse expecting a tough patch during database transition in the spring...

But I've been jonesing to get back to vendul's place since 2019. What a magnificent part of the world. Y'all are gonna have an amazing time.

If the stars align, I may still try to make it there. Perhaps take a cancellation spot or something, or bivy on the back deck.

    Cheers

Norse -- feeling exactly the same. The idea of the place totally booked out with mags, and Vendul free to ski with us. Man....what a treat. As much as I loved the Urner route leaving Venduls place was a bummer. Magical time and can't wait to get back. Who knows, if a floor spot opens up we never know what March may hold.

    Mountain Lodge reservations:
    https://wubook.net/neb/bk?f=today&n=1&ep=36507fcd

If there's overflow, I'll let vendul deal with the rooms with his buddies around Sedrun. Should that fail, I know lots of other cool lodging in the area, but I'll wait until vendul chimes in.

FOMOing hard here. Packed Lodge with mags, Vendul able to ski more, some of the OG crew rolling back, feck.
I miss that place and the smiling faces so much.
Such fun will be had by the attendees.
Give Vendul and Mrs. V a big hug for me Buster.

Some of you have booked already, so this is the deal that I''ve come up with to keep things simple:
    - simply book through our website or directly per email specifying that you are coming for the BBi and you'll get:
    - 15 chf a day for dinner
    - Free transportation on the 9.3 and 15.3 for a day trip to one of the following destinations: Laax, Lenzerheide, St.Moritz, Vals ( depending on conditions and single special needs the destination will be chosen on a short notice)
    - Ski tuning... Nordkette are you on board?!?!?! :-)
    - Obviously free welcome drinks!
P.S. if you are coming alone but willing to share a room, just book a double room and write it in the notes and we'll take care of the matching ;-)
Once more people have booked we'll also get a guided day organized.
while i doubt ill bring much tuning gear
ive been known to work on vacation
ive also been known to tell em
    you dont need wax
    just ski steeper terrain
lookin forward to gittin my euro shred on again with you kooks

I haz a question for you experts:

Would it be weird to fly into Geneva, then head down the Valles and Cham for a few days (b/c I've never been there) then take a train over to Sedrun? Or am I adding a HUDGE f'n headache...and just save it for another time?
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

    Totally easy.

I'd make sure that Argentiere Grands Montets running before going to Cham. I don't think it's been rebuilt yet after the fire.

    Nope: https://www.skiweekend.com/blog/new-...by-renzo-piano

There's so many great places: Verbier, Val d.Annivers (Grimentz-Zinal), Arolla (pomas accessing incredible terrain, very Swiss), Zermatt, Engelberg, Jungfrau/Grindlewald/Wengen, etc.

A few of us will be around Klosters on the 6-9. PM for deets.

As Buster says not that hard. GVA to Sedrun is 6.5 hours going along the lake and then through the Valais region and under the Fukrapass. Easy to make a couple stops and day trips on your way to bbi. Can jump off and even stay in or near Aigle, Martigny, Sion, Sierre, Visp, or Brig as they are on the main line down the valley floor and have good public transport access up and down the nearby mountain valleys. Big stations are better connected than the smaller ones but only the teeny tiny are a real pita to get to. Of course a car would save some time and maybe even money depending on the schedule and how you buy your tickets. If you don't have too much gear you can keep in a locker at any city/town train station.

Here is a list of everything lift served in Valais to get an idea: https://www.skiresort.info/ski-resorts/valais-wallis/
