The church bell in Rueras seems innocuous, a soft simple chiming on the hour and a dulcet tones on the quarter and half.

However, at 530 am that sumbitch would ring out a continuous possessed wake up call of at least 120-130 bpm.

Believe it or not, I've set down in front of the keyboard at least 10 times since the last of the Maggts left our Lodge last week, but it's not easy to explain what the BBi means to us.
It is for sure our season's highlight! The vibe that you guys bring along is absolutely fantastic... there's simply a bit of everything here... couples... friends... families... couple with friends... young... differently young (which are probably the most fun).
Serena and I simply love to have your happy faces around.
I know it almost sounds like a broken record, but next year, I really hope that we'll find the time to come and ski with you.
We want to thank you, not only for coming and making this time of the year so special, but also for keeping the stoke in the EuroBBi thread alive.... a special thank to Buster for organizing this and to always find a way to make things work.
... in the mean time, Vail Resorts have announced that they bought Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG... good or bad???

Such a heart on this man.
Vendul, you are the best. You bring amazing care and hospitality to the lodge. AND all the extra ways you help make arrangements, ski tours, and things to make the skiing great. I'll never forget the day we took multiple vans to go ski together at Corvatsch. Wonderful memories. Hope you'll be able to ski with us again soon.

    Aahh... nooo.
    Seriously.
Im still hoping that the locally owned resorts are still against take over and won't follow andermatts example.

The French ski Corps didn't get a foot in the door either, even in France. So I hope most things stay the same over here. But there are certainly some resorts on the vail list which overlap with mine, I guess. Im certainly not crying about Zermatt but I do weep for andermatt.

On the other hand: 150 Euro lift Tickets keeps the Riff raff away?
It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.

Probably good for business in the area. Less good for the vibe that seek.

All the love and madness, man, you and Serena are the joules that make these times happen with such abundance, warmth and positivity. It is always such a pleasure to be there. The food was delicious, the wines succulent! I just wish you could have skied with us...

I'm really down about reading that Vail has bought in. The American ski conglomerates have trashed the ski experience in the Pacific Northwest at both Stevens Pass and Crystal, to say nothing of the employee experience at Park City.

I wonder what, if any, effect Epic will have on Sedan next season?

I think it might take a few years for it to really catch on.

I had to book air travel before an airline credit expired. Arrive ZRH March 2, 2023. Very preliminary plan is Engelberg for a few days then join the mags in Sedrun.
