I ran into him at Crystal touring up GV in a preseason dump, 7-10 years ago I guess,
Weird dude. That Rainier stuff is mind blowing (almost unbelievable) given the trouble he was having getting to the summit house that day.
He did appear to be having a lot of fun. In the blizzard. And in that stupid wife-beater.

I assume that at some point he made the switch from mountainy-fitness to bodybuilder (following the Olympic ski podium aspirations?), possibly explaining the efficiency you observed that day versus the previous insane feats in the high mountains.
He is on a different plane but I wish him well.

This is incredible.
God I love skiing for the skiing, but also because of people like this.
It’s also a little heartbreaking when somebody with so much talent and drive has to struggle with jobs and housing and relationships.

I see it every day at work, with young adults with autism. Most authentic, funny and kind people ever, but getting a date (or a job interview) is not easy.
The world needs more Donnely and less Stainless.
not saying Donnely has autism...but it would explain quite a bit. like the no gloves thing.

He should get an AMG. I'd bet he'd be slaying pussy like a rockstar.

Seriously.. as someone who works with folks on the spectrum. Not trying to diagnose over the internet, just wish he could get a little social skills training to help make his life better!

Really, if you don't have (some) money, you do have to be at least a little crazy to do it.

I want to add he struggles with depression and has talked about killing himself on a number of occasions.

His YouTube channel really seems to be a form of therapy for him and hope it’s helping. Most of the comments are super positive. Never met him but seems like a real genuine guy.

I just checked out his channel too. Seems like a great guy who is thoughtful and just trying to do his best. Good on him, I hope he continues to keep his chin up and hang in there.

I hope he gets laid, but not by a troll.

There's someone for everyone. Forrest Gump found Jenny. There were ups and downs but eventually they got together.

I think I've mentioned before that I met Andrew's father at a square dance in Mankato. Left foot in, right foot out, swing your partner all about...what fun!
At the risk of sounding old fashioned it's a shame that young people today only want to meet one another online. Some of the sites Andrew visits I really don't approve of. I'm sorry, but I've told him any girl who advertises herself as a f*ckbuddy is not the sort of girl he's bringing into this house.
