A lot less open ice for Avs skaters--offense was mostly dump and chase, which is TB's game. TB's forecheck was more aggressive as well as their D in their own zone. TB was getting a lot more uncontested shots from the point than the Avs.

Unrivaled got me pretty pumped for the game tonight. The rivalry is over and I even have some begrudging respect for guys like McCarty. Draper is still a little bitch though. I hope the Avs do it but I have a bad feeling it's going 7.

I’m sure the Avs would love to win at home, but you definitely want to close it out in 6.

Yep. So much whining and bitching. Makar needs to stop playing into tampa's game. Avs getting sucked into physical game and it hurts them mostly. That hit between maroon and MacKinnon was violent, clean but them two big boys.

Wow. What a win. They looked totally over matched the first ten minutes, but turned it around and seemed to control the last thirty minutes.

Damn. I kept saying I'd the avs can pull off those dirty wins when they look overplayed they get the cup. Didnt think they had it tonight but they got it done. Wife is super happy and slightly annoyed when I say "21 years!".....a reference to when I got super shit-faced after the Cubs won and wouldn't stop mumbling "108 years". Happy for cogliano, MacKinnon, and makar amongst others.

I'm so stoked for the Avalanche. So stoked for the guys who stuck it out during the dark years and kept building a team. Go Avs!!

    NHL 2021-2022 Season

The only bad thing about this run is we’ll never hear the end of that horrendous Blink 182 song. Brutal.

That tidbit of information, and his "anyone who thought I was a liability in the playoffs can kiss my ass" before laughing and skating off made him the winner of the Victory Interview contest.

Love that guy. Glad he got his shit together and won a cup!

Fun fact: In the last 14 playoff games when he was on Toronto's roster, Kadri played 6 of them. So, hmmmm, maybe yeah kind of a liability...

Not everything in hockey is about the Maple Leafs,
In fact, nothing is. (As a sign of how irrelevant the Leafs are, spellcheck doesn't recognize "Leafs" as a proper spelling.)

Just the fastest a team has damaged it
