Fuck the Avs looked good. You know Tampa is going to be pumped and angry for game 3. Don’t let them back into the series.

McKinnon is one of those few players that you instantly recognize when he starts skating with the puck--he moves like Datsuk, but faster straight line speed.

Bummer for Backstrom. There is no recorded case of an NHL’r making a decent return after this surgery. He had a great career with a Stanley Cup.

If Tampa wants a shot at the series, they will have to stay out of the box. AVS power play is ON!

Good game. Just some good hard shots. No deflection goals that I can recall. Tip in after a shot but none in front of the goalie.

And we'll see on Wednesday if the Bolt's are really going to make a series of this.

How much of the difference between games 2 and 3 was due to the matchups--especially defense pairs vs opposing lines--with the home team getting last change? Seems like TB was making the nifty plays Av's were making the game before. I heard Cooper at some point saying he wasn't paying any attention to the matchups, we translated from hockey talk to English means, I'm paying a lot of attention to the matchups.
But since I wasn't paying attention to which D pairs were getting scored on in either game--I don't actually know.

I think you almost could blame the avs defenseman Toews for 3 goals. Kuemper wasnt looking good but his D wasnt skating to the puck and having bad giveaways. We'll see next game if Tampa can it a series.

Seemed like Tampa decided to just start dumping it in and they were winning all the races last night.

It wasn't even close, either. Which is surprising. Maybe those unreliable takeaway/giveaway stats mean more than I thought.

Avs look like shit. Also how is it not goaltender interference when you high stick the goalies mark off?

Vasilevski was a wall for so much of that overtime. Ave kept coming and finally snuck one in.

What was so hard for the refs to figure out that the puck had gone in the net?

Snuck? More like blitzkrieg of attacks all period. Big cat is a badass but that was like a ten minute power play speed
