At the 150 in Ledecky's leg I thought she had the Chinese girl, but the Chinese swimmer had a better turn and that was just enough to hold off Ledecky. Hell of an effort by both teams, though.

May be too close to call in Tokyo, but I'm pretty sure we're winning the home game.

I was hoping someone would post the stats on athlete positives. IOC probably burns those files

193 officials, including 20 athletes as of this morning. 24 since yesterday. Meanwhile Tokyo is experiencing its highest levels of new daily cases since the pandemic began. Anyone want to question why they didn't allow spectators?

The Russian gymnast competing 3 months after rupturing his Achilles tendon is impressive--or nuts. Does all his landings on one leg. Asked if he had been cleared medically to compete--obviously not.

OMG. Game winner for the Dutch disallowed for off-sides. US dodges a major bullet.

    Come on girls!!!

edit: TWO disallowed goals for the US in the second extra time. Penalty kicks for the right to move on. Ugh

US DQ'd in the mixed 4x400m track race. The first exchange was outside the zone. Either the US female runner lined up at the wrong blue mark on the track on her own or an official told her to line up there (the US is protesting that is was the latter).

Louis Johnson pulled no punches in the post race interview. I think he was actually a bit pissed that an experienced runner would make such a stupid mistake.

LOl, I had to go in for the ass camera first thing this morning, and every nurse I could grab was giving updates. They knocked me out in extra time and when I woke up first thing the nurse said to me was they won in a shoot out.
