NCAA still implements golden goal.. I understand you need a winner, but shootouts aren't indicative of the better team.. but if the better team can't pull ahead in 120' then who's to say? Although in some games you can always argue shitty penalties, offsides, etc.

I was bummed this Euro final, not upset that Italy won, but I like a lot of the England players and was rooting for them. Rashford got put in in the 119'? Not enough to do anything really. Should have put him in earlier to give him a chance or at least some damn touches on the ball before taking a PK. Easier to manage from behind a computer screen, but if you have decent players on the bench put them in during ET while they are fresh and can attack with speed against a tired defense.
hey cub, know you are new here but FYI there is an enitre thread to talk about non Olympic footy/soccer. Thread drift privileges are not granted until your 1000th post.

Of course with the curious scientists. I mean it was the seventies. The glorious time when benny stopped working and became a local.

No but a couple members of my swim team had sisters on the syncro team. I was dating a gymnast who became a diver so no complaints.

The survey results were lumped by sports, fairly anonymous and it was the 80s.

Just do a search for “Sweden vs British nightclubs” and look at the pictures.

nights out in Sweden are on another level.

This is what I love about the Olympics, every Games, somewhere in the country, people gather at all hours of the night to watch “their” guy or gal compete their guts out a world away, and every now and then, they win it all.

Props Katie. Loved the “CLEVELAND, THIS IS FOR YOU!” hat tip to the Cavs title.

That basketball camera work on NBC gave me a headache. But great game. Gobert for France had a great game. France really wanted that win. Did anyone notice Renton, Washington native Zach Lavine's dunk right after the buzzer? Could have won the dunk contest.

The through-the-legs?? Yeah I noticed that - was wondering who it was that threw that down, so thanks for answering that

KD just a point away from the 30 point gold medal game 3 peat. Here's hoping USA can beat Japan for baseball, would be sick to surpass the gold medal count against Chi-nah.

In her defense, that was a TOUGH putt to hole. Even for a pro

Or maybe she was just sick of playing golf today after four rounds?

In all honesty, I'm happy to watch Japan win the gold medal in baseball - for their first time ever - on their home turf. They deserved gold, they were the best team in all phases. And to win it at home must be so so sweet for Japan - probably the one medal most Japanese wanted the most. Congrats Japan!
