I have seen that trailer 2x now in the theater and it just doesn't look as bonkers as it sounded on paper...

It also seems suspiciously similar to Guy Ritchie's latest, which was actually supposed to drop around the same time, but has been removed from the release schedule...

Also, will Cage playing a heightened version of himself be able to top Neil Patrick Harris in Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle?

    Wait, what?

    Missed that.

To be fair, I don't pay much attention to the trailers as they all too often spoil the movie. I usually take that time to use the bathroom and sanitize my seat, so usually only catch glimpses here and there.

I took his order for a chicken something or other back in the 90s in park city. I worked at mountain chicken and white pine touring that summer.

The writer is good. Could have been an interesting read.

But they kept showing me stupid expensive outfits and telling me how much they cost.

    I gave up. TL. DR

I think it triggered my number one problem with cage. He’s a vapid self important son of talent, who thinks he’s talented.
    Occasionally he does good work.
Raising Arizona is all time funny.
But mostly he’s boring. And can’t act.

So trying to read about all his struggles and goodness, being interrupted by pictures of his narcissistic expensive clothing kinda killed the vibe.

    My theory:

The Nic Cage that we, the general public, have access to is all an act, thus making him the greatest actor of all time.

Nice touch, the pork-pie hat! Plus, who doesn't love some Rippin' Didge?

The critical hype train is going mach 11...
100% on RT right now for The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent:

[Full disclosure: I have not read any of these reviews as I prefer to go to a movie with the least amount of outside critical influence bouncing around in my brain]

Yet again. Nic Coppola plays himself.

But I’ll watch it. The trailer looks good.
