    Favorite 00's Web Series

Anybody remember the early days of the modern interwebs? Like as in the 00's. A day before Netflix and Hulu. When people were making fun, creative low budget web series. Have any favorites you remember fondly? In the middle of revisiting one of my favorite ones from circa 2004, PurePwnage. Brings back some great memories of PC gaming and geek culture. When Flash based websites like Homestar Runner were king. Good times.

Surprisingly the original website's still alive: http://www.purepwnage.com/
You can also watch the series on their YT channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/KylePP
On their Reddit page though, the creators actually have some links to download the files for everything, so that was nice of them! https://www.reddit.com/r/PurePwnage/...xtras_archive/

The Guild from around 2007 was another great one. Felicia Day was wonderful as always in there:

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog from 2008 was super fun. That one had Neil Patrick Harris and also had Felicia Day in it:

It was so much fun back in the day to keep up with their websites and occasional releases of new videos, extras, and what not. Now that the streaming services we all use have become so prevalent though, it seems like the web series format has pretty much gone by the way side. Anybody else have some good recommendations from "back in our day"?!

Wife and I watched Dr. Horrible last night. Now that it's all packed into one, it's like a fun little 42 minute mini-movie. Was fun seeing Nathan Fillion (Firefly) playing the douchy superhero. Good tunes if you're into musicals and stuff. I enjoyed revisiting it after all these years.

Red vs Blue. From the early days of Machinima. It helped to be a Halo fan, but not necessary

Oh ho ho yeah! Forgot about that one. Truly a classic. Was really hilarious during the context of its time. When Halo was HUDGE!
