I did it.. and ran out of credits pages ago. Read and learn my friends.

    Fun stage to watch today.

Pog showed his dominance when he didn't need to. Race for 2nd came down to the chase and V couldn't be beat.

I failed hard at fantasy but thoroughly enjoyed the race.

    Good stuff

So apparently you can't have more than 3 riders from the same team. Yes I Read The Fawking Manual., its not stated in there anywhere.
Oh well, last few changes made in this household before the sprints and ITT.

I've come to conclude that the manual sucks and was probably written by a Frenchman.

With Cav letting the breakaway go today....that leaves him one and only one chance to break Merckx's record this tour. Should he fail I guess that probably says we will see him again next year as he chases the dream....however will he have the same perfect team and health?

I did a check on all time stage wins and was amazed at Merckx's (and others old tour winners) 2ns, and 3rd place finishes as well. As Merckx states, Cav's # or wins is impressive, but Merckx and others are that much more given they were all-around (sprint, climb, etc) stage winners and add in the 2nd and 3rd place finishes.

Congrats to yourself Benneke10....your day was great and now its a close 4-person battle!

Thank you. I will be praying Uran can put up a strong ride tomorrow and fend off WVA, but my chances are slim. Hurts to know that I would be in the lead if I remembered to switch my stage win bonus to Pogacar from Merlier before stage 5.. or if I bothered to read the rules before picking my team in the first place haha. Props to the top 3 who made great picks, you will probably be distancing me tomorrow.

Looks to me that Kat5 has the best shot at the title with 5 riders who could most likely make top 10 in the TT (Catinao, WvA, Asgreen, Pogo, Vine) tomorrow.

Kaslisto has 4 and I have 3 and you have 2....but anything can happen and the 5x bonuses at the end.

I am keeping hope alive for 3 in the top 10. Uran got 13th in stage 5 and MVDP and Roglic are now out. I know his form is looking terrible right now but I have no choice at this point. Go Rigo go!!!

choosing right now, i'm betting on WVA; he's been strong and had some missed opportunities...
but i kinda think Pogacar is going to further lean in to his lead, if at all possible. His Sunday ride is a cool down, so this stage will be it...kinda talking myself into switching for Pog, lol

2021 TDF Fantasy League SPOILER ALERT

An ITT specialist will win tomorrow. (Stage 5 results in brackets)
Someone like Küng (2nd), Bissegger (18th but had bad weather), or Bjerg (11th also bad weather).
The other specialist who have been working too hard lately for their teams are Asgreen (6th) and McNulty (crashed in first TT).
Then the big name favorites who did well on Stage 5 are Pogacar (1st), WVA (4th), or even Vinnegaard (3rd).
    Notables riders missing are:
    MVP (5th)
    Roglic (7th).

Looks like Mrs Dee Hubbs is going to clean up this stage and probably take the GC.

I've been compiling a spreadsheet to see who wins the overall tomorrow.
The only factor I can't calculate is who will win the Overall Combative Rider?
The only rider that has won it for 2 different stages is Mohoric, and I cant see him winning it for the whole tour.
Last year it was Hirschi and in 2019 it was Alaphilippe. Both of those were obvious winners.
Could it be WVA this year? Who else? W. Poels?
    Any thoughts?

As I feared....Congrats Kat5! factoring in the 5x bonuses tomorrow I can't overcome a 400pt deficit and probably can't overcome the 200pt deficit for 2nd at this point unless Mathews takes the win!

Franck Bonnamour.. wtf. The winner of most combative should be someone who has at least had some success beyond a couple 5th places. Maybe doesn't have to be a stage winner but could have at least been someone who has contested in finales. I added Mohoric to my team after his first win partly because I thought he would win most combative for the whole race. At least he got another stage, but he has been in the break at least 4 times and deserves it more. His stupid victory salute yesterday probably didn't help.

I’ll wait to comment until tomorrow, in case you or Kalisto have changes left….

I set my final lineup after stage 18 so I am a solid 3rd I think

I was also thinking that could have been a factor that cost him the prize. (€20,000)
But it's a French thing. In the last 26 years of the tour, there has been 15 French guys chosen.

If you don't have a change, I dont think you can mathematically catch Kat5 or Kalisto.

IF Kalisto has 1 change left (50 credits and his 1 budget point) Kat5 and I have figured there is only one move to make to take over the lead and win the overall.
If Kalisto doesn't have a team change to make, he has one Bonus Pick to make the mathematical difference.

no changes here. if morkov can lead out cav and also do well, he'll also move up the green jersey standing and get the 5x multiplier on those points.

It'll be close but chances are the standings will remain the same.
