I was out riding my bike and didn’t catch it. Am I in first?

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

    Almost!

We picked the same women. Which was obviously a terrible, terrible choice.

easy now, this isn't the XC league
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Was expecting Hartenstern to be higher up based on practice but can't complain for $75k. Was debating Benoit vs Baptiste, turns out I should've had both!

Bump for upcoming EWS race in Italy. Excited to round out the hat-trick of not doing particularly well in fantasy leagues. And the EWS is always fun because I have absolutely no idea who's actually going to show up at the race.

Anyways, I made a TGR league. (name: TGR, password: sprockets)

No idea how those top fantasy league guys get so many points. No chance for the big prize. Some serious number crunchers.
Hopefully some day we have more n american events. EWS would fit well here in town. If towns have the terrain it seems like a great way to showcase that. Madeira has been a dream that needs to happen since the ews

I would assume the EWS venues are similar to the DH venues - they've gotta pay to get the race to come to town. The venue bears the cost for all of the infrastructure needed to run the race. I think I remember seeing that it was most of a million dollars to get a DH world cup at your venue. I'm sure the EWS races are a lot cheaper to run, but I bet it's still a chunk of money. For non-resort venues, I would think it'd be tough to warrant that kind of expenditure. It's essentially a marketing ploy, but the local visitors bureau can buy a whole lot of advertising for a few hundred grand.

That makes sense. I guess the ews was more affordable in the early days and we saw some fresh new areas on a race calendar. I hope we keep seeing new areas. It wont be getting cheaper. I guess maybe a partnership between the town, province, covid tourism stimulus, columbia basin trust and RMR this could possibly happen if the impetus was there. Its the right time for the current state of mtb resort developement for revy

Looks like Gee is done for the season. This sounds horrific:

"Following a crash, on Friday afternoon Gee Atherton was airlifted to Royal Stoke University Hospital where he has undergone surgery for breaks to his femur and wrist. Gee has also broken ribs alongside fractures to his nose and eye socket. Gee is currently in a stable condition with no neck, spine or head injuries and he is said to be in good spirits."

Man he's taken some hard knocks. He seems like he's mentally chomping to get back on the bike already. Wish Gee and Rachel would chill a bit and take up enduro. Theyre getting to hoffman or knievel level injuries

I have zero knowledge of how fantasy games work with other sports like baseball & football (american, right!)
That said, I'm continually confused by how the price for riders doesn't change between races.
Then again, I'm pretty sure racers should be paying ME to keep them off my list. I'm really a horrible jinx with this shit.
However many are in a shit ton.

Well, I forgot to make a few of the switches I was thinking of, but looks like I still scored a few points.

Its a crap shoot even more than dh picks are. Field is deeper and who's putting in the work? Next one is even more of a cdap shoot. Will youth pay off or experience in a back to back event?

I assumed my score would be bad, but it was much, much worse than that.
    Somebody's gotta be last though.
