Holy shit. I sold a polished ti lite speed/campy bike 4 years ago for $900. It was a way nicer bike that that bastardization. Guess I should have held on to it to gouge someone.

    Opinions on these two?

    1. Argon 18 Gallium Pro rim brake road bike, ~2016 model, carbon frame and full Dura-Ace in really nice condition, with budget Chinese carbon wheelset.

    2. Giant AC Air full suspension mtb, ~2002 model, good condition except fork is busted and probably needs to be replaced.

If that Giant is a small or medium, would likely be a pretty good kid/tween bike. Still agree on toast's comment, if you have a NICA race team that'd be some good karma your direction.

    Another one for the collective..
    2018 Giant Trance Advanced 1
M, Carbon frame, carbon wheels, 27.5, dpx2/fox34, good condition except some paint chips and a scrape on seatpost.
Blue book seems to put it in the 2300/2400 range which is a bit lower than when I looked a month ago. Used market softening? Should have sold last year? What say ye?

Market could be softening for what ever reason. Could be seasonal timing. Hard to say I think. It sounds like supply chain issues are still an issue. From my own experience trying to replace a busted frame recently, we're still in a huge supply chain conundrum. To me, $2300 for a 4 or 5-year old bike is still a pretty solid return.

I’m debating selling my bike and picking up something with a bit less reach.

It’s 2021 XL Orbea Occam H10, which is their highest spec aluminum frame with a full Shimano XT build. The frame has a few nicks but nothing major. Would I be better off selling just the frame or as a complete bike? What price should I be targeting if selling the frame only? What about as a complete?

There is a premium on used complete bikes right now. I have found that premium is less applicable to frames. You can sell them, but not for the wildly inflated prices that completes are fetching.

Nice bike and looks to be in nice shape. Seven years old now though, and 27.5. Some selling points could be fresh wear items and like cassette, chainring, chain, tires, brake pads, maintenance like suspension serviced, etc. Ask $2500-$3K? Be prepared to take less.

Could use some price advice on my steed as well. 2021 Slayer C50 with the full Fox Factory treatment. SLX / XT drivetrain. SLX 4-pot brakes. 370 hubs, WTB 30mm rims. Fabric ti saddle. Everything on this bike is brand new except for the drivetrain, which has...15 miles or so. Size Large.

    Whats my bike worth?

    Looking at a new bike
My old one is 2020 cannondale trigger 27.5 with upgraded rear shock
New tires and updated rear rock shox ultimate is less than a season old
Has fox 34 performance in front and 150 MM travel. NX setup
WTB 30 mm rims and maxxis tires
Not a ton of rides and rides great

Thinking $2500-$2700. Red is faster. Off base?

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

    Here is a tough one:

Ridding buddy is destined for Hospice, probably sooner than later. He had a bike buying habit.

He has several nearly new bikes built up that he wants to liquidate. All were bought as a frameset and then pieced together and he has expensive tastes.

What will be the best way to price these? He doesn't want to make a killing, just a fair price.

    Example:

Yeti Arc Carbon XC race bike. Lrg, all SRAM and AXS with a high end wheel set.

Rocky Mtn Element Carbon. Lrg, all SRAM and AXS, with both a Cane Creek air and a coil rear shock, very nice wheel set.

    Both ridden very little.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Pricing those shouldn't be too hard. I'd search on pinkbike for comparable bikes, see what they're asking, then dial the price up or down a bit based on build specs and whether I think the PB comps are legit prices or wildly inflated.

Just from a quick search, I'd put that Arc at around $6k, somewhat depending on the exact wheelset. That's assuming it's the current model.

I'd put the element at around $7k, also assuming it's the current model, and also depending a bit on the specifics of the build.

For both of those, I'd gauge interest after posting, and if I wasn't getting a lot of bites I'd lower the price a bit or let a buyer haggle me down more.

Really sucks to hear. Does he get out at all anymore? Am more of a superficial friend/acquaintance but he has always been an awesome, genuine guy. Would love to see him/hang out if he is up for it.

The Element could go for a fair amount over $7k depending on build specs if you're in a market like LA, Bay Area, Wasatch, Front Range, etc

NEW ENTRY: thinking of selling my 2018 Yeti SB5.5 turq (w/ factory 34/dpx2 and X01 drivetrain) to get something newer/longer but just dabbling with the idea. The 20 bikes or so I have saved on pinkbike haven't budged in weeks, so market seems to clearly be softening or just not moving. One scuff on top tube been retouched with the official paint. Cushcore in the back. Everything works. Thoughts on listing it for $3500-4k?

What should I list Mrs C's old Ibis Ripley for? It's evolved over time into a completely custom build.

2014 (original version), large frame, carbon (they all were), with a spare bearing kit for all frame bearings
Fox Performance Elite 34 fork, 130mm travel, new in 2019
Fox DPS Evol shock, new in 2018
1x11 drivetrain: Shimano XT shifter, SLX derailleur, Sunrace 11-46 cassette, SRAM Descendant GXP crank with 28T SRAM direct mount chainring
    Shimano SLX brakes, 180/160 rotors
Mavic Crossmax SLR wheels, Maxxis HR2 front, Ardent rear, decent tread
Tranz X dropper, 125mm, external routing
    Pro carbon riser handlebar
    Cane Creek 40 headset
Saddle TBD - she'll keep the women's specific one

It has quite a few scratches. She's dropped it a lot. No hard crashes, just a lot of dropping or scraping on rocks.
