    facial paralysis

while sipping my cheerwine through a straw this morning, i noticed that i was having trouble producing significant suction and making quite a bit of noise. i found drinking from a water bottle later in the day to be increasingly difficult. by dinnertime, i was having trouble chewing and constantly slurring words. looking in the mirror a few minutes ago, i gave a smile and discovered that the entire right side of my face is paralyzed. i have no feeling or muscle control. this shit happened to anyone before? i don't think i'm having a stroke but some shit is amiss.

    facial paralysis

Could be migraine (lots of symptoms have nothing to do with headache), but yeah, call a doctor. How do you know it’s not a stroke?

    Maybe someone actually stoleyourface?

well, i don't know for sure that its not a stroke but since i'm 19, i think that can be reasonably ruled out.

Nope, go to a doctor. It's worth it on the off chance something happened. I've pushed someone to go when something similar happened, fortunately it was just bells palsy or something similar.

definitely go to a doctor. my son did develop these symptoms last year and was diagnosed as atypical migraine. Hasn’t happened since. Hope you’re ok

Stroke symptoms ain't nothing to fuck with man. I'm 33, in above average physical shape etc. and checked myself into the ER for the first time in my adult life this spring after stroke-like symptoms.

If you need someone to tell you what to do call the consulting nurse and they'll tell you to go to the ER

I just asked my wife, a 30+ year RN, what it could be. “Lots of stuff. Fuck, why isn’t he in the ER?”

Had this as one of the key indicators of an underlying immune disorder that was destroying my nerves. I went immediately to the hospital. With your TBI I’d be more concerned than your dad seems to be. He probably has a good life insurance policy on you though.

He hasn't got his dad to drive him yet. Arm is paralyzed making reply difficult.
