Better than the L&C Tumbleweed IPA? Asking for a friend who is thrifty and doesn't want to risk the $$ on a gamble six-pack.

Never been a Tumbleweed fan myself. It's kind of heavy and strong for my tastes. Juicy Obsession as the name implies is a session IPA with 5% ABV. Good if you're having more than one. It's my favorite L&C beer. Really smooth. Good for floating and stuff, although Prickly Pear pale always works too.

+1. Coincidentally, it’s also the best winter beer. Spring and autumn too.

I was going to post the Radler as well. Awesome on a hot day! I still like IPAs when it's hot, but a nice pilsner or hefe is great too.

Total homer pick, but if the temp is over 90, DFH SeaQuench is remarkably good.

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Otherwise, I'm with BMills, ice cold Pacifico is hard to beat. If it's semi-slushied in a frosty mug at the Mexamerican joint, all the better.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

I tend to go through yellow beer phases...last spring/summer was High Life, but this year it’s been steady Tecate.

Tecate w/ salt, Epic Los Locos, DuClaw Regular, Prost Weissbier, Coors Original, all great options, as long as they are ice cold!

    Seconded.

This has become my judgement-free summer favorite. Much cheaper than an import radler (but we usually have some of those on hand too).
