It's hard to win in January and February. Weird bounces, injuries, weather, etc. can all wreak havoc. The league creates 31 losers for every winner year after year.
With this QB, coach, weapons and defensive playmakers, I think we're in the championship conversation for years to come, and that's all you can ask for as a fan.

Please commence the Tom Brady buttlicking.

I'll do you one better. I lived in the Dallas area through the 90s. My boss was from Buffalo.

A 10 man defense on 1st and goal is a bold strategy.

In case anyone missed it. I think Cousins let out a little scream when Garrett tossed his LT away.

Myles Garrett is a bad, bad man.

That whole D line played out of their minds yesterday.

I’m taking solace in seeing the Chefs had to keep their starters in. That…and the Depression thread.

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

The kid can ball. He has rookie moments, but he's also calling plays and running the no huddle like a vet. Imagine how he'd look if the Pats line didn't forget how to block. Major regression across the board. And none of them are old. Everyone, including me, thought the O line would be the best unit on the team. Instead it's the worst. This team isn't great but they would be at least 3-1 if their line wasn't a disaster.

Collinsworth was over the top with the Mac praise, but it's clear that he doesn't get rattled by the blitz and can deliver some accurate passes.

Donkeys stifled the run and dared Lamar to beat him with his arm. He did. That bomb to Hollywood was a beauty!

Collinsworth sure loved him some Mac last night, first time I've really watched him play.

Reminded me of Chad Pennington, if that's Mac's floor he'll be fine

Holly S, totally. Collinsworth may have had multiple orgasms over Mac last night.

that's a great comp, Chad Pennington. He seems like a totally capable QB. I haven't seen anything that makes me think he's the next Brady.

I was convinced Mac would be a nice, solid backup for the next 15 years, but he is looking like a starter so far...

No one thought Brady was Brady until 07. Then only people in NE thought he was the GOAT until 5 years ago. No one knows if Mac will be in the league in 5 years or not. Comparing a rookie in game 4 to established pros is dumb, never mind the guy with 7 Super Bowl rings and 10 appearances. Even after the 01 super bowl there were a lot of people saying the Patriots should keep Bledsoe and let Brady go. You can’t find anyone saying Brady was a top tier QB his first two years, then it was only hot takes from 03-06.

But he showed that he can make progressive reads and I like what I saw. He just needs to stay healthy and work his ass off, maybe he’ll make something of himself.

Yeah, I wasn't saying he's the GOAT or that he's terrible, just that he seems ok at the moment. Collinsworth losing his mind over him was annoying, but typical. The signs from the chowderheads of Mac's face superimposed on the Brady pic with all his rings was also typical.

So talentwise he's somewhere between Ryan Leaf and Tom Brady?

Trent Dilfer has a podcast where he talks to former and current NFL QB's, the Ryan Leaf one is fantastic. His self awareness and ability to look back at himself and his mistakes is one of the most admirable things I have heard.
Samuel L. Jackson as Jules Winnfield: Oh, I'm sorry. Did I break your concentration?

I may move the lower bound to Nathan Peterman. He has a career QBR of 34. Ryan Leaf's was at 50 for his career. God help the Raiders if Carr ever gets hurt.

I'm a Mariota homer, but I don't see much of a difference between him and Tannehill...30/49 isn't exactly lighting it up against the Jets...someone up thread said Tannehill was top three or five QB in the league, which is hilarious. Anyhow, if Carr goes down they've got Mariota coming in, which is probably an average QB.

ETA: I had to find the post...hilarious...it was borderline top 5 qb

    6.) Lamar
    7.) Tannenhill

I'm not ranking Watson because he's off playing scout team safety.
