Also, pretty much everyone in the NFL caught COVID at some point so there just aren’t that many left

You nailed it. The Saints have to rebuild by shedding high priced vets and Payton knows it will be a rough few years.

The 4 teams left come from the 3 toughest divisions in the NFL. Unless you are an extremely disciplined team, I think it's beneficial to play in a tough division. I've seen the Broncos beat the chargers and compete with the chiefs with mediocre QBs.

Agreed. There’s a lot be said for being battle tested. On the other hand Brady and the Pats could very reasonably disagree over the past 2 decades.

Yeah, coasting through six to ten games without having to grind out wins may be good in the long run

The only team that gave Brady a hard time consistently was the Dolphins. Outside the division, the Broncos I believe, certainly Manning's Colts, but he always seemed to win, but younger Manning owns Brady!

Montana and the 9ers also won a few in a very weak division.
Eli was the QB on the Giants, but the Giant D attacked the qb and their line did a great job of protecting Eli. I have always felt that those were true team wins rather than Eli outdoing TB.

It’s still so weird to me that growing up the 49ers were in the same division as both New Orleans and Atlanta.

The AFC East was never as bad as people make it out to be (for the nerds: https://patriotsdynasty.info/blog/20...finitive-guide).

Brady's record with the Pats vs the AFC East and his record vs the rest of the league were close to identical. He had better record against the Steelers than he did against the Jets. He had a better record against the Colts than against the Dolphins.

But having 4 QBs as good as Mahomes, Rodgers, Herbert and Carr in one division would be pretty damn rare. Probably unprecedented. That's a division where good teams could easily miss the playoffs.

Yeah, but you can say that about Patriot teams over the years as well and honestly without our kickers being next level, Brady wouldn't be where he is today. Kickers are so underrated.

Eli did his job leading the offense. He wasn’t a barnacle riding his way thru the game. So many haters…

Wouldn’t it be fun if Eli could be a presenter at TFB’s HOF induction?
