How much do you pay for pizza?

A 16" pepperoni pizza is $20 with tax. Never expected Boulder to be more reasonable in food prices.

Kens is $15 + $1.50/topping for a 16”

Manhattan Pizza is $15 + toppings for a 17”

Pizzeria Verita is $9-16 for a 12” depending on what’s on it.

We still make a lot of pizza at home though.

Timely thread, I just ordered pizza and when I checked the forum this thread was here. Paid $10 for a small size extreme meat pizza. Med and large are $18-25 plus tax/tip.

We spent $110 for 4 celebrating a graduation at an "artisanal" place in Midtown Sacto, beer included. We never went back. Place lasted 10 years.

Yeah some of these prices seem crazy to me. My current favorite SLC place is ~$15 after tax for what is basically a medium. I guess maybe these $30-$40 pizzas are a lot bigger?

Paid $17 for a 12 inch at a local brewery tonight. An XL from our fav pizza joint is 22-25 but they don’t deliver, so probably would be 30 with delivery. Add $5 if you want a fancy specialty pie ( we usually go for just cheese or pep )

Large "garbage" pies go for around $20. A plain cheese is about $12, 1 topping usually about $14. So much competition around here.

Last time I got a Hot and Ready (pre Covid 19) it was $5.55 (raise their price 10 percent as it used to years ago used to be $5 in fact)

Most shops depending on the toppings and if it is a chain or local independent are $5 to $10 small 10 or 12 inch to $10 to $15 for large, for a extra large $20 for standard pies- not the extra deluxe or supreme. Toppings usually add $1 to $3 per and up depending on the pie size, so if you like 4 or 5 toppings, or the works that can add up over a 1 or 2 topping pizza. Those are many times not with delivery, many add delivery fees of a few dollars depending on the distance and of course driver tip can add $. For $35 I'd expect a 2 liter or some sort of side, delivery and the driver tip typically on at least a large pizza with a number of toppings.

One of the pretty good local places (college town) near menu shows:
Small 12” (6 Cut) $7.25 TOPPINGS: Reg. $1.00 PREM. $1.50
Regular 14” (8 Cut) $8.75 TOPPINGS: Reg. $1.25 PREM. $2.00
Large 16” (12 Cut) $10.25 TOPPINGS: Reg. $1.50 PREM. $2.50

Delivery in limited area adds $1.50.

Home cooked last night was ~ $4 for 2 crusts premade at local bakery- so $2, $1 for a can of pizza sauce- one pizza again, $6 for a large pack of pizza cheese grated (enough for 2 pies), and a maybe $2 dollars for mushrooms (that needed sliced but sometimes get presliced pack at the store also) that is enough for 3 or 4 pizza's as there is always extra left in the package.

Red Front in Capital District (Upstate, NY) the 24 cut is a rectangular party pizza. Equivalent to two or more traditional 16 inch pizzas. You either love or hate the sweet Red Front sauce.

Back in the day i attended Kincolith crab fest, for maybe 5 years there was a rock fest at an end of the road on a Nisga'a res, money wise it was a loser but they paid for old Canadian rockers like Trooper or Big Sugar with grants from the Canadian gov

Kincolith doesnt have a pizza hut cuz it is a small remote village on the coast of narthern BC seriously in the middle of nowhere, but there was Pizza from Pizza Hut cuz they flew this stuff in from Terrace by Helicopter, don't remeber how much it cost but delivery by helicopter has to be in this thread

Never been a fan of Pizza hut but why eat that shit, fresh crabs were 5$, I even scored a jar of oolichan grease

Kincolith lost the funding and the crab fest went away

$31 better be some amazing pizza. There better be wheat in the back where they grow/harvest/make it into dough. They better have an Italian grandma making mozzarella from milk straight from old Betsy who's tied up in back. The tomatoes must be no less than 5 minutes old and ripened on the vine.
Basically, Michelin 3 star pizza.
Please tell me some of you have seen not only Jiro Dreams of Sushi, but also Juan Likes Rice and Chicken.

Large cheese pie and an order of garlic knots delivered- less then $20 but gets rounded up to $25 with the tip. And it’s an actual quality pizza... not Broadway Joe’s quality but very very good.
