In my opinion wood firing is the apotheosis of pizza cooking. A good, thin-crust wood fired pizza is impossible to beat.

This thread reminds me I have a lou malnati's deep dish in the freezer.
Also had a buffalo chicken pizza from a wood fired joint in Livingston(Gil's/Murray) the other day that was I think $12 for a 12".
I'm an equal opportunity pizza eater.

And yet the box fan hasn’t really evolved.
I still call it The Jake.

Well, TGR isn't really ready to invest in this place so the screwdriver acquisition has been on hold for a while.

It has the proper ‘cup and char’ pepperoni...

I miss the coal-fired pizzas of Connecticut.
Where I live now a large cheese (which I think of as more of a medium) is $13. It's fine, but not particularly great. Some days it seems to be better than others from the same local place. Still, it's cheap and walkable, so we get it every week or two.

They have a double pepperoni pizza that is just sublime.
By the time I'm making poor choices the good pizza places are always closed..
Props - so close, but no, they don't seem to be affiliated. Was that place very good?

Ha! OK I like Thai food, I like carrots, I like peanuts and I even like Thai people. I will sure as shit find something at the Thai eatery. I guarantee if I went to Thailand I would find some of the best food in the world. That said I have an irrational hatred towards warm food with peanuts on it. Ick!! I mean it never really stops me from eating it but I have a vision of how glorious it would be without the fucking peanuts on it.
How’d you like the finest steak in the world?
Sure!
I wasn’t finished, how’d you like the finest steak in the world...
to be covered in peanuts and to taste only like peanuts?!? We know u like those fine peanuts!!!!! Here’s some extra peanuts on the table in case you don’t have enough peanuts. If you run out of peanuts, let me know, we have 1275 pounds in the back so eat all you want!!
I pay 3.99 for Manfred von Richthofen’s finest. Traditional crust. Do not fuck with the other crusts. Think the last take out I had was a hot n ready or a domino thin n crispy. Less than 10 bucks. U can see I live alone.
Now if I had some money: Rosalees in Longmont is very good around $20-25 for a 20” and slices available at lunch. Benny Blancos in Denver is 20 bucks for 20” toppings 1,75 or 2.00. $3.00 a slice. Both are worth a stop.If we're gonna wear uniforms, we should all wear somethin' different!

i used to agree with this wholeheartedly till one of my girlfriends high school buddies opened up a place. dude makes the dough and sauce fresh every day and use an excellent full fat never frozen mozzarella. his combination of simple high quality ingredients is the best plain pie i have ever eaten. runs about $12 fer a 16 incher.
anyplace else though, i go for the pepperoni, peppers and onions…. yum.
