    What about Oregano?

Sweet Basil Pizzaria where whole 18" pies are $20 if you pay cash and you can get a punch card for a half price pie makes a Thai Chicken pie that has cilantro and green onions. Sooooooooooooo good.

They also have a Chicken Club with spinach and there are several pies with artichoke hearts but maybe you don't consider their color green.

    Thai
thai peanut sauce, chicken, carrots, green onions, cilantro

    Chicken Club
white sauce, garlic, spinach, chicken, bacon & tomatoes

Basil, oregano & arugula are good green things on a pizza.
The roasted fiddleheads and the nettles (like crunchy mustard greens) on Boone Dog's pizza were good too.

Local Pags Pizza chain last night, $29.99+4.00 delivery+tax+tip...$44.

A premium for a 17" Chicken Primo, marinated chicken, thyme-roasted artichoke hearts, pickled red onions, roasted red and yellow peppers, mozzarella, ricotta and parsley over olive oil.

    Typing that made me hungry.

Disagree on the pineapple. That's the one thing Canadians got right (about pizza).

Yeah, I don't usually order (or make) that, but I wouldn't not eat it either.

I do make a pizza with capicola or hot Italian sausage, feta or chevre, roasted red pepper, jalapeno or pepperoncini, pineapple, and fresh cilantro or basil.

(all of the 'or's based on mood or what's on hand in the kitchen)

And that pizza is pretty damned good.

I think where I get my trepidation is that most vegetables have too much moisture, and makes it difficult to achieve the right ‘chew/crispiness’ to the crust. I find texture to be a critical component to pizza, but yes, everyone has different tastes, and I have enjoyed thousands of different pizza styles.

Just admit to the regional homerism rideit, only meat is such an east coast thing. Perfectly easy to do great pizza with vegetables… like they do in italy.

Pineapples don't grow in Canada and the pizza they're unforgivingly used on are typically called Hawaiians. Canada didn't have anything to do with that other than have Canadian Bacon (another misnomer, it's just ham) on the same pizza. Never understood that whole thing.

I can’t, I enjoy NY, Deep Dish, New Haven Wood Fired, etc equally. I even like Pizza Hut supreme personal pan pizzas. Can’t say I have ever had a Detroit pie, though.

But lettuce on a Burrito...now there is something worth fighting over.

I like meat on pizza, but in moderation. A pizza shouldn't look like a giant grease slick.

lol, yeah it's ridiculous, I know.

I actually lived in HI briefly as a child, and I don't recall "Hawaiian" being a pizza option there.

    The AD:

^^ Done correctly, really not very greasy. If it's too greasy to the point of ruining the crust, it's too greasy. My favorite place locally is David's Pizza and they do a really nice job of building a crisp pizza with the meats.

In the 70s there was a pizza place in Seatte called "Pizza Petes." They made a pie called "The Porky Pig." Was the first time I had Canadian bacon and pineapple on a pie and it was very good. Not sure what else they did to it but I've never really enjoyed that combo from other places. Maybe it was their sauce.

I worked in a pizza parlor, off and on from 16-21. Hawaiian was one of the standards. Of course, being young and having access to free pizza, I tried them all. Hawaiian was a one-time shot. Same with the Hometowner (CB and fresh tomato slices). Canadian bacon is great, the pineapple and tomato killed those two for me, though. The other single topping I remember trying once, and nearly puking, was anchovies. Plus cooking with those slimy things was another blech moment.
