    Deep dish sausage. Yum.

And yes. Pizza has many varieties. There’s even room for frank Pepe clam pie.
Ha! I knew I'd catch one with that.

I liked it as a kid, but honestly wouldn't even know where to go now.

Ginos is better than uno. Now.

Thanks. Yeah, the last time I was there, the line to get into the downtown Uno was insane. Never heard of Due. Walked by Gino's East, but ended up going to Pizano's (on someone's recommendation) which was ok, but nothing special.

I've only been to Chicago once, 18 years ago and went to Uno downtown. It was definitely great pizza and I would go again if I ever get to Chicago again. I still remember it so that's something...

They also have a Chicken Club with spinach and there are several pies with artichoke hearts but maybe you don't consider their color green.

    Thai
thai peanut sauce, chicken, carrots, green onions, cilantro

    Chicken Club
white sauce, garlic, spinach, chicken, bacon & tomatoes
After a month in Thailand my wife and I came home and went out to get pizza with her parents. MIL was insistent that we had to order the Thai pizza. What a letdown.

Uno's in Chicago on Ontario St used to be killer, haven't been there in decades.

I'm paying $21.05 for a large (14") w/ sausage. green pepper and onions, and leave a huDge gratuity because the restaurant staff is getting stiffed by fuckers getting orders to go and leaving small tips. Dicks

Good on ya, I’ve been tipping at least 30% on everything these days. The stories I hear from service industry people are insane.

I ate at an Unos the one and only time in Chicago and it was awesome, and I had leftovers for the remainder of my stay. Almost took one home.

BTW you can order UNO’s from Harry and David if anyone is feeling nostalgic. A friend gets em every year from his folks. $84 for a 3 pack ain’t bad compared to others in this thread.

Damn straight. If you do it right you can get 6 solid kinds of pig on the same pie.

    Bacon
    Sausage
Italian Sausage (or other second sausage as available)
    Ham
    Pepperoni
Prosciutto (or other less worthy ham variant)

    I'd eat that cardboard.

I like to put onions on that so I can have a vegetable.

We need to ride and Pizza in the Front Range sometime. Is there a solid Pizza joint in Boulder?
I used to go to some NYC slice joint that was excellent out on 28th.

There used to be an Uno's here in my town but I think they left ~10 years ago. It definitely wasn't as good as the pie I used to eat in Chicago.

    Jackson is a bargain…

I mean, it isn’t but we’ve tried to save and move closer to work for 10 years… toward Aspen. Ain’t happening.

Ha, I worked at the first Unos outside Chicagoland, their initial expansion effort was to Boston. It was on Boylston St. in the Back Bay. That was where I learned the saying, "if you have time to lean you have time to clean" and I've taken that to heart.

That's also where I left in the middle of a shift because some friends came in to get me for a last-minute trip to the Cape. "Here is the final check for the job which you abandoned." read the letter I got.

They were a dollar when I lived around the block. I doubt they are now. It’s just a couple times a year thing now. I grab two pies and rush them across the river as fast as I can.

I looked it up. Slices are $3 now. Large 18” pie is $17 and worth every penny.
