    XC Fantasy League?

Any one doing it? Anyone care? I am super amp'd for watching...so why not bet on it!

I didn't see any thread, but anyone want a League? If so, I started one:

    https://www.pinkbike.com/news/fantas...w-to-2021.html

    Group: Sprocket Rockets
    PW: TGRForums

I don't know if y'all wanna bet actual goods...or just for bragging rights. Maybe it depends on how many people enter?
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I've got a fantasy of a Kate Courtney x Pauline Ferrand-Prévot sandwich. Does that count?

Can't leave Jolanda Neff out from that conversation IMO.

Threw some darts at my screen and picked a team. I really have no idea what I'm doing. Also joined the league.

    Y'all are going down.

You don’t know XC? Me either. It’s OK...don’t be scared.

Just read this and you’ll win the league:

Yeah MVDP and Pidcock are going to clean up. Pidcock will need to pass 30,000 riders but he'll podium.

Busting out the leg razor to take you baggy wearing shuttlers down. Also, I can name like 3 pro xc riders.

45min bitches! Get your lineups set! (actually that's for drag racing...long form isn't until Sunday).

You can watch live on RedBull TV. Sure their drink sucks...but their TV channel is the best and they sponsor tons of athletes.

do people actually care about the drag races? I mean, I know they affect big show start line, but even that's stupid UCI being UCI.

I love the short track, it's made for TV xc racing.

ETA, I missed this... I would have loved to join, didn't work on my phone the other day and I was too busy this am.

The whole Olympic qualification aspect to this and the next set of xc races really spice things up.

    XC Fantasy League?

    Toast you crushed those picks!

Florian Vogel and Lukas (wrong one) Flueckiger were both massive duds for me. Lacomte friggin crushed that course

Well...I'm hesitant to post an update after yesterday:

    What we learned:

    1) Smarty doesn't know anything about XCO...coming in last place so far. But watched it and it is FANTASTIC! Long enough to see who's who and what's what....but short enough that you don't have to dedicate a day to it. It reminds me of watching motocross (which is infinitely better than Supercross; you can disagree, but: you're wrong). A sport you can get equally stoked on guys and gals. So many lead changes, so many different camera/vantage points. Just excellent.

    2) Apparently, MvDP will not win every race until the end of the decade. Also: he doesn't like heat;

    3) Pidcock - may win teh rest of the races until the end of the decade;

    4) Nino - maybe lost some top end...or maybe isn't in best form yet...or maybe Koretzky is in top form...or maybe he's just faster. Also: Nino likes the heat. Apparently, he also like Novo Mesto. His hardtail comments were interesting as, he's used a hardtail in the past...there musta been some reason they chose FS.

    5) Favorites are Favorites: Nino (2nd), Flukiger (3rd; with dropper issue), Lecomte (1st), PFP (2nd), Kate C (4th)...

    6) Favorites aren't favorites: MvDP, Jolanda, Evie (letting me down Evie ), Avancini, Marrotte, Batty (is she still a favorite?)

    7) New Breed: Pidcock (Whoa), Lecomte, Stigger.

So...lets head to the Czech Republic with Toast leading us and me with the coolest score. More updates as we get closer!

    Goddamnit.

But yeah, bummed the Evie Richards didn't have much of a race. I thought that was gonna be a good pick.

Anyways, time to start throwing darts for next weekend.

smarty - can you check if I’m in the league? I signed up last week (see photo above) and pinkbike says I’m in 2 leagues (global one that everyone is in and “sprocket rockets” one with your comment under it - but all I see is myself in the standings. Thanks!

Well...you're definitely WINNING! (but not in the league according to screenshot):
