    That is impressive desperation.

So sad your December post was patchskiing.
Should be real skiing by now!!

So sad that you felt compelled to denigrate someone else’s fun.

Patch Skiing In the Northish Lake Tahoe area (Truckee/Donner Summit) and the Eastish (Mt Rose Hwy) is in full effect right now.
Plenty to be had, but the trick is finding the window.
I got skunked 2-out-of-3 days last week with bulletproof slickness; the third day I was perhaps 30-minutes past the window, but thankfully the snow hadn't fully set up.
Even though we have been averaging 55 degree weather and freezing overnight, the sun is only out for such a short duration that most aspects aren't properly thawing, thus making December corn the most elusive of conditions.

I will say while it has been fun searching for snow, I don't recall ever having patch skied in December before thus season.
To wit, thus far I have logged 1 resort day and 5 patch days...

Thought I'd join in, pics from my last ski day this southern winter - Nov 2 2021.
Not quite up to 12 months a year skiing without international travel. Maybe next year.
Your bases must be far worse than ours!

    Any,
Thanks for sharing. That looks like some fun, soft-serve, quality snow.
