Reuters caught teh stupidz... now what news source?
For national/international news, I have a few sites I check, but Reuters has been my #1 for many many years.
Reuters.com just switched over to a giant text, cut-off-click-bait headline style webpage and you can no longer read any story without registering.
Fuck that noise! So sad...
So where is the best original fact reporting with the minimum (moderate) bias? UPI? AP? Somewhere else?Originally Posted by blurred

Why was reuters going to cease to exist? They have a broad business model and it isn't just news anymore. Why go from one of the most respected original-fact news services to click-bait-half-headlines in size 30 font like a tabloid?
Guardian is decent though left of NYT which has skewed pretty hard left in the last few years.
I'm not so familiar with Independent, but a lot of those Brit newspapers get pretty narrative-heavy, over-emphasize celeb stories, and web-views are almost unreadably choked with ads... I think the Daily Mail gave my computer teh AIDS.
That escalated quickly... My go-to for local news for sure...Last edited by Summit; 04-16-2021 at 12:29 PM.

Reuter’s redesign is because it’s going behind a paywall, like pretty much all decent news has in 2021.

If you type outline.com/ in front of the address you can get around paywalls.
