Yellow headed blackbird though what it's doing there in the snow is beyond me. They show up at my feeders only for short time - that sweet spot between not to cold and not too hot. They are the Goldilocks of birds.

^After Big Steve left, Baby Bear volunteered her husband. But I'm not so sure about where that chap is when these questions crop up.

I always think their song sounds like a chainsaw or something mechanical. They're a wetland species but likely got turned around with this storm which happens frequently during spring migration. But you can find them in the summer on the swaner nature preserve or where the provo enters deer creek reservoir in midway.
The more common Blackbird in the area is the Red-Winged blackbird.

Thanks! That is good info. I am surprised that I have never noticed them in the Uintas, or Jordanelle

We had another volunteer, but he only wanted to id raptors. We need someone who can do the full spectrum, songbirds, raptors, shorebirds, penguins, etc. That was what set Big Steve apart from the others.
