GORP is all the camp and off-road shit bolted to the trucks and sprinters; roof-top tents, traction boards, Pelican cases, fuel cans, lights (so many lights!), ladders, hi-lift jacks, and so on.

Don't over-think it. This is supposed to be fun.

I'd be afraid to go anywhere overland in a Land Rover.

Looks like a wind turbine generator pulled into place by the winch on the front of the two extensions. Kind of a cool idea, I wonder if they let it spin while driving in that position?

There’s a hitch-mount bike rack in back and an awning on drivers side.
I first thought the camper was homemade, but nope.

I'm thinking they roll up next to a river and deploy the water wheel. Which is disappointing; running it while driving to charge the batteries for a hybrid drive system should be worth at least 10 points.

Not technically mounted... but surely this counts just for the ingenuity of taking things into one's own hands when so many public bathrooms have been closed during covid

Easy to bitch about the cost of storage vessels but you'd better believe it'll be worth it when you're sitting in a really remote McDonald's parking lot crushing some fries without having to fumble around with those stupid little ketchup packets.

Outside Magazine says you need to spend a LOT of money on your Tacoma to drive down dirt roads.

That article doesn't even mention the obvious need for a serrated shovel, traction plates, an awning, and a tiki torch. Woe betide the overland adventurer who reads it and goes out into the great beyond without sufficient Sriracha sauce and salsa Verde. #fail
